25.01.2022 Since Stuart Ayres isn't being up-front about flood risk, we thought it was about time someone should. Find out how you can help below.
25.01.2022 "We have no control we go into these meetings, and there’s no consultation. They just tell us what they’re going to do They don’t talk with us. They talk at us." - Kazan Brown, Gundungurra Traditional Owner.
25.01.2022 Can you believe the NSW Governemnt 1 hour ago began a new #iheartrivers stories campaign the exact same time the The Sydney Morning Herald released this gob-smacking video about Sydney's last wild river being destroyed by NSW Government's own plan to raise Warragamba Dam? Get onto the campaign link http://bit.ly/31wV2RU and tell them to save the Kowmung!
24.01.2022 An informative piece in on Channel Seven News tonight. Stuart's dam won't work!
24.01.2022 Big news! Thanks to the support and commitment to everyone involved in this campaign we have been able to kill the support of the biggest industry backer of the dam wall raising. Well done all.
21.01.2022 Insurance Australia Group has dropped its support for a NSW government proposal to raise the Warragamba Dam wall, over concerns the project will damage Aboriginal heritage sites in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. At the insurer's annual general meeting on Friday, chairman Elizabeth Bryan will announce IAG's new position, following pressure from traditional owners, activists and shareholders, including the lodgement of a shareholder resolution.
21.01.2022 Sydney is becoming a developer's mecca - yet we still have the wild Kowmung River on our doorstep. Let's not destroy this last piece of wonder. Join, donate and support the campaign in the comments.
21.01.2022 Wish we could say this surprised us... Appalling Stuart Ayres, just appalling.
17.01.2022 BREAKING: At the Upper House Inquiry today, Traditional Owners have claimed WaterNSW Community and Niche Environment and Heritage attempted to bribe them with access to their own land in an attempt to garner their support to raise the Warragamba Dam wall.
14.01.2022 Shame Stuart Ayres planned doubling of the floodplain population by 134,000 people was not mentioned.
11.01.2022 Stuart Ayres' hysterical and irresponsible comments only demonstrates how isolated he is in advocating for this dam proposal. A clear pattern is emerging of Stuart Ayres and his departmental consultants riding roughshod over proper Government process and Australia's international obligations. There is a growing coalition of groups who genuinely want to find alternative flood mitigation options across the Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley. The Colong Foundation, Traditional Owners, the Insurance Council of Australia, Insurance Australia Group and local councils are all committed to properly investigating alternatives to raising the Warragamba Dam wall, and not destroying sacred Aboriginal cultural sites.
09.01.2022 Strong and passionate words from Gundungurra man Uncle David King about the importance of the southern Blue Mountains to his people. We need to stop this dam.
08.01.2022 How long is Stuart Ayres going to be allowed to get away with this mindless and expensive project? His cabinet need to reign him in, fast.
