25.01.2022 If you're eager to connect with a community organisation now or when social distancing begins to ease, you can connect with not-for-profits accepting volunteers through Volunteering Australia's GoVolunteer service.

24.01.2022 Thanks F&P Magazine for featuring us today! Wonderful to see the not-for-profit sector getting on board.

22.01.2022 They have begun coming in early! Check this out as an example. BTW - if you want to do your Ovation early - that's OK. It helps us spread the word. https://www.givingtuesday.org.au/ovation-across-the-nation

21.01.2022 If you haven't figured out who to give to during #GivingTuesdayNow, we're here to help you out. It's the final week of the campaign, so let's get organised and get ready to donate! Find a list of organisations in need here: https://buff.ly/2T76iAj

19.01.2022 #GivingTuesdayNow kicked off on Tuesday with a wave of gratitude, with the efforts of everyone from pharmacists to neighbours being called up for honour. It was heart-warming to see so many messages of thanks, and videos of ovations. It's not too late to express your thanks, though! Each Tuesday this month (and beyond!) you can share a photo or video of yourself, tag us and your friends, and spread some gratitude.

17.01.2022 There are many questions around when is the right time to donate money. In the middle of a crisis? Later? All at once? Over a while? The important thing is to give when you can.

17.01.2022 What a team effort this is from the Victorian Opposition, lead by Michael O'Brien. Thankyou.

16.01.2022 https://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/14366486 #GivingTuesdayPodcasts is going rather well with podcasters & podcast lovers across the globe throwing in their recommendations of small, indie podcasts. 13.01.2022 Ed Vickers-Willis from North Melbourne Football Club kicks off our first Ovation Across the Nation. Thanks Ed! #GivingTuesdayNOW #AFL

13.01.2022 Our local communities have given us so much during these long weeks in social isolation. Contribute back to your local area by doing something today: * Check in with your neighbours with a note or a socially-distant-appropriate wave * Grab some #TakeawayTuesdays to support a local restaurant * Donate to or enrol to volunteer for a community organisation in your local area... * Buy a gift card from a local business and give it to your family member or housemate - double whammy! * Contribute to or set up a street library or foodbank Any of the above, and many more ideas will help keep Australian communities thriving as we exit the worst of the COVID-19 crisis. #GivingTuesdayNow

12.01.2022 The effect of COVID-19 has highlighted how important our local areas are. This Tuesday, do something for a local organisation, business, or neighbour and help strengthen our communities as we emerge from the crisis. Good Karma Effect

12.01.2022 A wonderful piece from Pro Bono Australia and David Crosbie, CEO of the Community Council for Australia, on the opportunity that GivingTuesday brings in highlighting the importance of the community sector in Australia. "Giving Tuesday could be a day when charities not only did good work, but also became their own best advocates."

12.01.2022 We're starting to see some wonderful campaigns join GivingTuesday 2020. Come check out all of the organisations involved, and find a cause to support! https://buff.ly/2HX5Xxi

11.01.2022 We're teaming up with Local Rain Check to support local businesses across Australia. Have you got or do you know a local business - retail, hospitality, professional services - that might want to list themselves and gain some income? Think broadly!

11.01.2022 Giving time is a great way to connect with your community, even though it may be difficult right now. If you cant give time now, think about pledging time in the coming months. Or, if you plan on volunteering now, think about what skills you could donate to a not-for-profit from your own home.

10.01.2022 As it's National Volunteer Week, today we're celebrating all of those who #GiveTime. Volunteers are so important in meeting the needs of individuals and communities across Australia. Thank you to everyone who has contributed this year, during such difficult times.

07.01.2022 On the final day of #GivingTuesdayNow, we're asking you to donate what you can. We know there are many Australians that cannot afford to donate what they're used to, but every little bit counts at a time when the Australian community sector is suffering so dearly. So please, find a cause on our COVID-19 Generosity Registry, and pledge your support.

05.01.2022 There are lots of different ways to figure out how much you're able to donate. From 'tithing' to taking into consideration your income, it's important to assess what you can afford to give. Remember, it's not all about money. If you can't afford to donate cash, pledge to volunteer or donate items to a charity in need on our COVID-19 Generosity Registry: https://buff.ly/2T76iAj
