25.01.2022 Just a weekend can make such a difference. Reset! : #beargully #capeliptrap #wilsonspromontory #gippsland #fatherdaughter

25.01.2022 Not a bad place, the Warrumbungles! Quick stop over this time, might be back for more another time... loving our Drifta Off-road Tourer, so similar to our previous custom trailer that we lost in the fires. #warrumbungles #drifta #howlingmoontent #touring #australia

24.01.2022 It’s a funny time of uncertainty. Our rituals (catch ups for coffee, footy, etc) and work have shifted so much. We find that creating new rituals is critical - and staying fit is, too. Combine the two, make a regular time to walk and talk together, enjoy the beauty around you, and focus on the things you can change. Consciously resist the urge to control what shouldn’t or cannot be controlled, accept the situation as a new normal, and build your relationships and rituals in a new environment. That’s been our mantra and it seems to work ok. How are you dealing with this change? : #rollwithit #change #resilience #copingskills #beautyaround #walkandtalk #sunrise #relationshipgoals #copingwithcovid

20.01.2022 We keep being blown away by the energy and optimism of the Mooroopna year 9s. Paige, Eloise, Marnie, Lissy, Brianna and Chloe - we had an awesome time with you and learnt a lot. Thank you. We’d take you for a #trundle anytime. And remember to take 30 when the s@#t hits the fan - step back, think, take a deep breath and re-engage calmly. Thank you also to Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project and Karen Maree Utber from Greater Shepparton Secondary College - the school is very lucky to have you. : #trundle #thatsnotaword #buttonman #mtstirling #craigshut #landcruiser #gizabreak

16.01.2022 Come fly with us... we discovered an ideal Giz A Break adventure itinerary along the NSW mid-north coast. Can’t wait to explore this with a group! #yuraygirnationalpark #myalllakesnationalpark #yagonnationalpark #treacherybeach #sealrocks #gizabreak #tidalriver #landcruiser #76series #offroad #beachdriving #lowtide #midnorthcoast

15.01.2022 Are you ok? The Fonz comes every single day to check up on me. Then he lets me give him a good pat/rub, which makes us both happy. Not surprised animal shelters have been inundated with requests over our lockdown period. Anyway - hope you’re all ok. Particularly thinking of our year 12 legends out there! : #love #ruok #dogsarefamily #pandemic #mentalhealth

15.01.2022 Feb/Mar 2020 Otways 4x4 adventure with the fellas from Hillston, Hay and Carrathool. Can't wait to do it all over again (when we can...)! Hope this prompts good memories, gentlemen! https://youtu.be/SRJ9NuZnCTQ

13.01.2022 While we can't do our thing, we find strength in beauty around us. Connectedness and a sense of belonging are good for the soul, for our health and wellbeing. And it's good for our local economy, too - and that's critical for small town survival. A connected community looks after each other, makes others want to become part of it, and attracts visitors. A really good way to be connected is to be creative together. To use art as a way to come together, to celebrate life, to develop your own community's story, and to create a sense of belonging for all of us. We do that a lot here in Dookie, and it's what makes our community punch well above its weight. Be proud of where you live. Find out what defines your community and what makes you strong. Celebrate it, bring it out in the open, and create more of that magic.

13.01.2022 Well, well. This weekend, we’ll be hanging out between Briagolong, Dargo and Wonnangatta (loosely) to check out some new tracks and make itineraries and memories.

13.01.2022 So good to be able to travel. Checking out different destinations for future Giz A Break Adventures. Left home at 4:30am, passed Mt Hotham by 7:30 and by 12pm we were fully set up at Cape Conran. Stay tuned for Wyperfeld and Murray Sunset NP - coming up soon! : #gizabreak #mthotham #capeconran #visitvictoria #australia

12.01.2022 Rocket Lake was a bit special. Just beautiful. The lake is covered in saltbush and pigface. Stunning spring destination. I loved the changing landscape and vegetation as you move from dunes to clay pans. Beauty everywhere! : #rocketlake #murraysunsetnationalpark #wildflowers #australiannatives #pigface #saltbush #australia #outback #visitvictoria #sunset #beautifulworld #grateful

10.01.2022 Massive shout out to Dan-the-Man - happy birthday!!! What a 12 months it’s been, ey? You have accomplished so much, and you’ve done it in style. You’re supportive, kind, smart, have a huge heart, are an excellent listener, a solid friend, and I couldn’t imagine anyone better to have put Giz A Break together with. Love you, big fella! : #happybirthday #friendship #love #kindness

08.01.2022 How much food do we go through per trip? Eating machines, those lads! #yeew

07.01.2022 Here's something that might tide you over! Trip report for the third Drought Initiative group from Hay, Hillston, Carrathool and Booligal! 06.01.2022 Update # 3 Registrations closed. Boys: fully booked.... Girls: fully booked. For those on waiting lists: we’ll let you know if any vacancies come up, so please keep an eye out for any changes. This initiative is made possible through funding from Hay Shire (and its idea to get this on the road!), Murrumbidgee PHN, and Giz A Break. Giz A Break gratefully acknowledges the financial support from Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network through the Australian Government’s PHN Program and Empowering our Communities program.

06.01.2022 Wishing you all a ripper week! Enjoy it even if the track’s uneven - it’s usually more interesting than a smooth ride. Thanks to @lisas_love_of_life_ for taking this epic pic during our Old Telegraph Track adventure last year : #wave #lc76 #wheellift #

06.01.2022 Can I take a trailer through Milmed Rock Tk in Wyperfeld NP? Hell yes. But can you take it up Lookout Dune? I tried - and failed. 3 times. Wish I had an auto conversion I was super impressed with the Drifta DOT trailer, it followed us through gnarly tracks, over dunes, and through ruts no dramas. : #milmedrocktrack #wyperfeld #wyperfeldnationalpark #dune #4x4 #drifta #driftadot #landcruiser #lc76

05.01.2022 Backyard camping... second round! Sometimes it’s good to spend some time by myself with a and good - thanks for the recommendation, @kirkenockey

03.01.2022 Heard a scrape on the right rear break after 4 days of chugging through the high country with trailer in tow - the lads at ARB Shepparton fitted me in with literally zero notice on Saturday morning and fixed it. Ready to roll with the next group on Tuesday morning, and without a worry on my mind. THANK YOU Jed, Tim and Xavier - love your work, dedication and support. #arb #shepparton #bestmechanic #4x4 Simon Guthrie

03.01.2022 Two adventures in May OPEN! Only for 14-17 year olds from Hay Shire. Get your regos in, 7 spots each adventure, first in best dressed!* 2 additional spots reserved for NDIS participants. *we’ll give preference to those who haven’t been on a Giz A Break trip yet. 03.01.2022 Go, get tested even if you only have mild symptoms. We just did. You know the horror stories about testing? That it hurts and that they poke? Myth conclusively busted. It didn’t hurt at all, the clinic was run extremely professionally and efficiently, and we were treated just like you were a year ago when you had a sore throat - friendly and welcoming. Great job, Princess Park Clinic

02.01.2022 Wowee! Independent feedback on what we do! One of our participants, Charlee, and her mum talk about the impact of participating in our program. We were not involved in the development of this video (only provided some B roll footage upon request). Check it out! Thanks Charlee and Angela for this feedback, it keeps us going until we can hit the tracks once more
