25.01.2022 Well done @ashleyolafson for taking home a bronze for Junior Bikini and GOLD for Open Class B (that means tall gal) Bikini at the NSW Pro Qualifiers for @ifbbproleagueoz ..it was a long day and her first time with this federation so she was a little nervous for her first walk. After that though she was able to enjoy it, show off what she worked hard for, and give all her friends and family the opportunity to watch in admiration. Thank you so much to my co-coach and soul sister @kimmymaree for another great prep working together. Hopefully her Melbourne show still goes ahead this Friday! Stay tuned!

25.01.2022 As a personal trainer I don’t try to be flashy, I don’t try to be an expert in every area or tell anyone I know more than others, that’s not why my clients stay with me. I believe the top reasons they do are because they know I care about them as people and I am willing to listen to their needs and wants rather than push my agenda on them. I base training on performance for the majority of my client programming but am willing to work on aesthetic goals in a healthy way when i...t’s appropriate because for some people that’s pretty important (which I think is very valid within the right application). Most of all I’m in this for the long haul and I’m not trying to pump out massive numbers or have a high turnover using challenges or 6 week programs. That may be great for some clients and great for some business models but not for us. Not for me. I’m with them as long as they need or want. I love being a PT. Face to face is still my jam . . . @e.t_rouleau See more

24.01.2022 All I can say right now is if you want to improve your health then that’s your business, if you want to improve your work life then that’s your business, if you want to improve your relationships then that’s your business. If you have reached out for help or support from someone with any of those then for sure it’s their business too... but you do not have to feel that you owe anyone else proof that you are making the most of time during this lockdown. Especially if you are c...omparing yourself to their situation or you never even asked for their opinion. It’s so much more important to be kind and understanding right now than it is to use this time to climb over others or put others down. If you don’t use your time effectively now you probably weren’t going to anyway so who bloody cares it’s your life. Well at least that’s my view PS: If you do need someone to support you during this time with anything then there are plenty of people willing to from a place of love not guilt. See more

23.01.2022 @hyperfly You can’t teach heart.

23.01.2022 How rough but fun haha. Who else has a list of When we aren’t in lockdown I’m going to... about 100 lines long. Actually practice lifting skills consistently with a crew. Do as much jiujitsu as my body will let me. More wine tours. More massages. BUT for now I’m just going to keep working on what I CAN do and enjoy that training and enjoy the evolution of GKPT. Weeeeeee What are you looking forward to and what are you enjoying in the now?

22.01.2022 I would have liked to post about how cold the first day of winter is blah blah blah but it’s Australia and I think it’s going to get to 21 degrees today. So instead here is Odin and I. My overweight cat is a living hot water bottle. I have not only taught him to sit and jump up but we have successfully added stay to his repertoire.

21.01.2022 Consider that it’s true so many of the rules, boundaries, time limits, milestones and assumptions for the way we should be succeeding or progressing are totally made up and really comprise of nothing but opinions of others. Opinions of other ARE important for a functioning society but whose opinion is ranked highest and is it worth the sacrifice for your own wellbeing? Some people will have made huge steps forwards recently and others will feel frozen. Both are valid. Is success actually in the eyes of the beholder? . . @e.t_rouleau

21.01.2022 Remember that if you are not taking care of yourself you are less likely to be able to take care of others the way I am sure you want to. Taking care of yourself first isn’t selfish it is equipment maintenance. Let’s get out of the habit of using taking care of others as a justification to not bothering with your own physical and mental health. Put in the work for yourself, set an example, so that you can be more for those who cannot. I grew up with very healthy parents and I never felt they were selfish for the hours they spent exercising, I admired (and still do) that they wanted their self care time. I learnt a lot from my Dad watching him spend so many hours each week training for races, I respected my Mumma for going away to walk and hike for days to be with nature. Setting a good example is more powerful than losing who you are.

21.01.2022 @bigfridaysupplies Count down is on!

20.01.2022 Time to work for it. Earn it. Own it. Time for an Overhaul.

18.01.2022 Another thing I discovered during lockdown is how much better I feel when I have real sleep. For sooo many years I would pride myself on sleeping 4 hours at night (midnight to 4am) and then nap in the middle of the day for another hour or two (I’m sure other PTs agree). I would be able to do an all-nighter if needed and worked as much as I possibly could. Turns out I was wrong. My body has been recovering better, I’m thinking more clearly and my moods have been so much more stable, thank goodness! 10/10 would recommend incorporating a solid sleep routine to your fitness plan.

18.01.2022 This is for sure the most time I have ever spent on the computer in my life and the longest time I have spent away from my darling clients. There have been some long sleeps so far and some loooonnnng cries the past couple of weeks but we are coming out tougher and more connected than ever for sure. Just remember that all anyone expects of you in these times is to do what’s best for you. For some of you that may be rest and Netflix escape, for some of you it’s quality time wi...th your children and partner, some of you is train harder than you ever thought imaginable, some maybe it’s spiritual growth... for me it is fill in the gaps of my business to come out the other side with an even stronger GK Community The videos, the phone calls, the posts, the texts and the program feedback that I have received so far prove that we are well on our way with that. 18.01.2022 We so often curse the internet and social media but if you can sift through the darkness in times like these (not that I have ever experienced times like these before) we can be grateful for community and connection, love and support through online platforms. Staying safe and sane. For now I will continue to run my business face to face as it is small, controlled, clean and private until we are advised not to or I no longer feel I am taking care of my clients to the best of m...y ability. After that I look forward to the evolution and growth both myself and my business will undergo. The changes were already in the pipeline but the silver lining for me within the imminent self-isolation is I am forced to take action in making my services accessible for my clients remotely too. Today we had to make a big decision and @ashleyolafson made the call to pull the pin on Melbourne for @ifbbproleagueoz These kinds of sacrifices for the greater health and safety of our community are so important. Keep clean, keep honest and keep communication up. See more

17.01.2022 Myyy Peaches is it Sunday already?

17.01.2022 This is very obviously a staged photo of me doing my work from the computer. In reality at the time of life I was seeing about 45-50 clients per week face to face and in the gym 6 days a week. Fast forward to now and it’s all online and FaceTime. Same lovely clients just screens instead of hugs really. Question is... what happens when we go back? Do we go back to how life was?

17.01.2022 I think now is the perfect time for this. The thing is, I don't usually run challenges based on body composition but post lock down is a special circumstance. 16.01.2022 Almost got sunburnt trying to take this picture so I hope you like it. x

16.01.2022 Make a to do list Cross it off as you go Resist too much downtime between tasks What doesn’t get done today goes to the TOP of tomorrow’s list Avoid negotiation

15.01.2022 Getting pretty used to training from the garage, watching mukbang on YouTube and having plenty of FaceTime chats with my clients. Also side note: Found out today that one of my buddies trims her devils ivy plant but doesn’t then grow the off cuts in glasses of water around her house. It was at that moment thatI realised that I have a plant collecting problem and am running out of drinking glasses. Sorry for wasting your time with this caption. Goodnight.

15.01.2022 The weekend seemed to flyyy by. Amiright?

14.01.2022 In what ways do you think you have changed during the the past couple of months? Whether it be due to the Covid-19 outbreak or just general change. Have you changed for the better? Worse? Not at all? Comment if you like or even just think to yourself.

14.01.2022 Come for the supps, stay for the dog cuddles @elitesuppscorrimal

14.01.2022 I am so grateful for my health, but more so I am grateful that I have the understanding that keeping myself as healthy and strong as I can is my own responsibility. It does not just happen. Don’t wait for the motivation.

13.01.2022 Not smiling but pretty darn happy

13.01.2022 Another week done. Hopefully wiser, fitter, happier. More likely though that the only growth this week has been how much more invested I am in watching more episodes of @firstwefeast Hot Ones

12.01.2022 With gyms reopening soon I feel like it’s going to be New Years Resolution vibes x10000. I love it. What did you miss? What are you going to utilise more? Did you stay on track while gyms were closed? It feels a lot like a new beginning for some.

12.01.2022 I think GKPT Winter 2020 is my favourite apparel line that I have done so far. I’m going to get a second run made because apparently you lot like it too. Thank you! Also, my Dad mentioned one of my posts to me today over coffee today and I didn’t realise he looks at my feed so hello Papa if you are reading this.

11.01.2022 Wednesday Date Nights was Logan’s idea for us. We have very busy schedules (as do a lot of people) especially in the afternoons and evenings being trainers and both with so much of our own training, running our businesses and trying to maintain friendships/strong family bonds. Wednesday night is one night we have allocated to ALWAYS spending some quality time together. Just us two. Everything else gets put aside on Wednesday nights. This helps so much when it comes to resisting eating out too much on other days of the week. - Last night we ate at @babyfacekitchen and were so distracted we had already polished off our meals before he got a piccy.

11.01.2022 Lighting in the new unit is so much better

10.01.2022 No other woman like @jenniferskylas I look up to her, take advice from her, am pushed by her and comforted by her and will forever consider her one of my best friends.

07.01.2022 Sunday: Long walk and nap Wholesome family fun. So nice to be able to be active for our catch ups, keeping on target with our common goals and just as importantly having a laugh. I think it’s pretty obvious how much I admire and appreciate them

04.01.2022 GKPT apparel ALL DAY!! This jumper is from Winter 2019. Winter 2020 second run is being made because they sold out so darn fast What should I work on for Summer 2020?

04.01.2022 Should have moved the coat hanger

04.01.2022 NOT HAPPENING RIGHT NOW DON’T WORRY and don’t tell me we should be keeping a safer distance I wanted to post this pic because I feel pretty in it and in times like this it’s important to keep small businesses in mind SO this is a holla at the team that makes my face look like this Roz @enchantedbeautybar_au who keeps my skin fresh, @hairbythealoveridge at @charliandkate for saving my hair and of course Sil @shebabrowboutiquebysilvia for 7 years of eyebrow love. Don’t be scared to keep life normal, if you are unsure whether it’s ok to keep going to your beauticians and salons then call ahead and check. They will happily discuss the safety procedures they have in place. If we don’t keep using them we won’t have salons to return to

04.01.2022 I caught the vicious Illawarra Panther

03.01.2022 Made it another year without needing to grow up too much

03.01.2022 Sold out of the first lot of these GKPT Tiger Tees (long and short sleeve) so I have ordered a second run. Thank you thank you thank you everyone who has purchased one and wears them and posts them and has been so supportive. Unbelievable. I’ll let you know when you will able to purchase again.

03.01.2022 Bet you thought this would be a caption about what I am learning about myself or the world during the Covid-19 lockdown. WELL IT IS NOT. Have a great weekend. X

03.01.2022 Whether 2020 has been good to you or has been horrible, it’s hard to trust 2021 will go to plan or that anything can be assumed. As it stands for now though, what do you think 2021 will be like for you? What are your plans? What are you working toward? What are you hopeful of? What attitude will you have? Only about 9 weeks left of this roller coaster year.
