23.01.2022 Hello Parents and Students! The Monday class at Ambarvale is staying at the 5 - 6pm time slot and the second class is at 6:15 - 7pm!! This class is run by myself (Sensei Nik) and Sensei Rob! Hope to see you all there on Monday!

22.01.2022 Split class for the Saturday Superstars. The yellow and white belts went through their basic strikes then hitting a kick shield with a partner and finished off with kata. It was good to see that some have been practising at home. The higher grades started with basics and progressed to their grade kata and bunkai. The Student of the Week was Aston.

21.01.2022 Well done Saturday Superstars. Starting with an agility circuit, which we haven’t done for a long time. Then lots of combinations and finishing with a game of stinky mitt, we haven’t done that for a long time either. The Student of the week was Bryan. A reminder that there will be no Ambarvale class on Saturday 5th of December because of the Black Belt grading.

21.01.2022 Term 2 Positions NOW OPEN!!!!! We are very excited to announce we have space for 20 new (beginner students) across the Region. This spans from Holsworthy-Narell...an. Spaces are strictly limited, and wil fill fast. We can not hold positions, so we encourage you to act quick, and secure your spot. Comment below, and one of our staff will be in touch with you. We look forward to seeing you in the dojo.

20.01.2022 Congratulation to the Sensei Adam who graded to shodan-ho (provisional black belt) last week. It was grading format for the Saturday Superstars, everyone doing really well just a couple of tweaks needed. Good luck to Kylan attempting green belt and Cody and Sienna attempting red belt. The Student of the Week was Kylan. A reminder that Saturday 20th December will be the last Ambarvale class for the year, classes will resume January 4th.

18.01.2022 Hello students and parents! My name is Sensei Nik and as of this year, I will be running both Monday classes with Sensei Jessie and Sensei Robert! I am looking forward to teaching this class as I first started Karate a little over 10 years ago on a Monday class at this dojo and at the end of last year, I achieved my shodan ho black belt! Throughout my Karate journey, I have learned a great deal that I would love to share with everyone and I am looking forward to seeing everyone tonight as classes start back up today at the usual times! Happy New Year to everyone and once again, I am looking forward to seeing everyone tonight for one of the first classes of the year!

18.01.2022 Having a great time in class tonight!

16.01.2022 Well done Saturday Superstars working through their grading format and showing good improvement. Congratulations to Brayan for achieving his Yellow belt at the grading last week, and he followed up by winning the Student of the Week.

16.01.2022 Well done with combinations Saturday Superstars. Starting with a single technique forwards and backwards and adding techniques until it became a challenging combination. Then the class was split to work on grade kata, and finishing up with a memory game. Thanks to Sienna and Tyler for supervising kata groups. The Student of the Week was Holli.

15.01.2022 This was the first Monday session I’ve been to for months and everyone did well. The early class covered grading format including partner work for the white belts. The later class started with kick shield drills for everyone and then split, kumite for those who had all the equipment and kata for those who did not. Thanks to Tyler for helping with the early class and Nik for helping with the later class.

15.01.2022 IMPORTANT: Saturday students, this is to let you know that this coming class (Saturday the 27th March) WILL be running. The R3 Blackbelt/Instructors tournament has now been rescheduled to Saturday the 10th of April at 11:30AM (After the grading). The good news is that class on the 10th will also be running as normal due to the revised time for the tournament. See you there.

15.01.2022 Welcome back to training and Happy New Year Saturday Superstars. It was great to see that most of you had already gone to classes. We usually spend January getting back the fitness and technique that may have diffused during the break. So we started off with an agility circuit, than combinations and finished off with kata. The Student of the week was Aston. The start of the year is a time many people reset their goals, if you need help in goal setting, e.g. grading’s, tournaments, learning new kata etc., just ask one of your sensei’s.

14.01.2022 Updated Grading information

13.01.2022 Class times for this week!

12.01.2022 It was grading format for the Saturday Superstars, and everyone is progressing well. The orange/green belts did the blue/red belt format. While the higher grades were finishing off with their kata the lower grades played Sneak. The Student of the Week was Melissa. Good luck to Brayan who is attempting yellow belt grading on Sunday. Please bring your kumite gear and kick shields to class, also bring disinfectant to clean your equipment.

11.01.2022 All of the Saturday Superstars did really well working on higher grade techniques. Starting with Uchi Uke and Gedan Barrai then combining them for Chuge Uke leading to the brown belt combination. Then partner work with kicks including ura mawashi geri. Finishing off with a sneak game in neko ashi dachi. Welcome to Kristian, it was his first class today. The Student of the Week was Diya.

10.01.2022 All of the Saturday Superstars went through red and blue belt combinations. It was a struggle for the white, yellow and orange belts but those who tried did really well. Everything is hard when you start and get easier the more you do it. Congratulations to those who graded last week, Adrian and Nicholas going to red belt, Sky to green belt and Melissa to yellow belt. The Student of the Week was Aston.

09.01.2022 It was grading format day for the Saturday Superstars, and it’s good to see how much everyone has improved. The class finished with a wonderful display of first and second kata by Andie and Lani who were promoted to orange tip, 7th kyu ho. Good luck to Melissa attempting yellow belt and Sky attempting green belt on Sunday. The Student of the Week was Lani.

09.01.2022 A solid session by the Saturday Superstars. The white and yellow belts showed what they had learned going through their grading requirements. The higher grades worked one of the advanced class plans. Good luck to all the students attempting grading tomorrow; Holli, Kilarnie, Hunter, Kendall and Diya going for yellow belt and to Archaeli, Micharli and Michael going for orange belt. The Student of the Week was Sky. Now that we are able to do close quarter training please bring your kumite gear and kick shields to class, also bring disinfectant to clean your equipment. It is perfectly fine if you do not wish to do any close quarter training.

08.01.2022 Warm weather training for the Saturday Superstars, good to see a lot of improvement. The yellow belts moving forwards and backwards striking and blocking in zenkutso dachi then kicks. The higher grades working on open hand strikes and blocks then kicks. Everyone finished off with kata. The Student of the Week was Kylan. A reminder that there will be no Ambarvale class next Saturday 5th of December because of the Black Belt grading.

01.01.2022 Reminder this is next Saturday the 10th of April. Watch your local Instructors show off their Kata skills. Have you bought yiur tickets yet?
