Congratulations to all those who have s...tarted their karate journey! We now have a category just for you - Karate for Beginners. We already have a number of videos in this category, with more coming soon... Some of these videos explain some basic concepts in karate, such as why we Shout (Kiai), why we bow, or even wear our funny white pyjamas. Beginner techniques tutorials (which will grow each week) And finally, classes designed for beginners. We will be adding to these regularly. For those experienced students, perhaps this section will also offer greater insight into your training. Tag a friend who is stuck at home and could benefit from getting online dojo access. They don't have to be a member of the club as we are setting up a special offer for all your friends who are not club members and we are currently filming lots of content so there will be plenty of videos for our beginners to make a start, get fit, stay... sane, and learn the magical art of Karate.. 19.01.2022 Life has thrown us a temporary curve ball, but that doesn't mean our health, fitness, self-defence skills or enjoyment of karate has to end. During this peculi...ar period, GKR Karate is bringing the dojo to you. Online classes for all grades and ages, covering all facets of training; and all classes are designed with limited space in mind. There is no reason why your skills and fitness can't continue to improve right now. It just requires a tiny bit of self-discipline on your part to get the ball rolling. And the beauty of self-discipline, is its only difficult for a few minutes, because after this, motivation to keep going kicks in.

19.01.2022 Hi Ballarat students. It is very exciting that things are starting to get back to normal with some classes in our Region able to commence. Unfortunately venues ...in Ballarat are not yet available to us but watch this space! As soon as we have better news we will let you know. Won’t it be great to be able to train in the dojo again?
