25.01.2022 Another great class last - starting off with the 3x5 challenge, combinations, kicks into a sweat session and finishing with kata! Well done for all those who made a great effort. Wishing Jemma, Kylie and Lee all the best as they attempt their new ranks at tomorrow’s grading. You guys have worked so hard. Go smash it! Have a great week!

24.01.2022 The focus tonight was on long forward stance and setting the stance - especially when moving through or changing direction. We worked on first and second kata and also did some sparring. Lakasha was amazing at tip sparring and she was our stand out student of the week this week. Well done Lakasha. We have lots of events coming up over the next few weeks. The tournament is on Saturday 28th at gosford FTC. ... We have the peninsula challenge on Wednesday 16th dec at umina beach. Our last class of the year and class party is 18th dec. First class back is 8th January 2021. More details to come. Have an awesome week!

22.01.2022 Well done to the faithful and fearless who turned up tonight on a public holiday. You guys never cease to amaze me with your commitment and dedication to your training. With a smaller class size tonight it was a great opportunity to receive some individual feedback and attention to detail. We did some complicated combinations in kihon and worked on grade kata. ... Hayleigh was our amazing student of the week for her all round great effort and recent improvements. Well done hayleigh - looking pretty sharp . Have a great Easter. Stay safe and don’t eat too much chocolate!

15.01.2022 Our champions at today’s assessment! Well done to everyone!

14.01.2022 Well it was almost back to normal in training last night. As per our revised Covid plan we are now allowed to spar and use the kickshields. There are still strict protocols in place and hygiene measures but as per our ‘live’ video last night (see separate post) it felt good to get back into some of these much missed karate practices. Oh and we are allowed to kiah in lines and kata.... and so kiah we did! Very Loudly! Lol I noticed Bella trying very hard all night and so she ...was chosen as the student of the week. Well done Bella you are doing so well. Keep going. Our 100% club for August - Daniel, Lee, Hayleigh, Sienna and David! Great to see these committed students week in week out! Sienna was selected as the August student of the month because she worked really hard all month and is a great example to others. Well done sienna! You are a champion! Have a great week! Stay safe!

10.01.2022 Back to basics tonight and it never hurts to revisit how a good block kick and punch can serve you well in almost all self defence situations. Great job on your first class jono and welcome! ... Thanks everyone for creating a supportive and welcoming environment for new people to feel accepted in our class. Love your stuff. 08.01.2022 After warming up with the 3 x 5 challenge, we spent most of the class on kicks. Starting with kihon drills and combos, moving on with the partner work and targeting the kicks. 08.01.2022 While Sensei Paul has been teaching us lots of sparring techniques in the lead up to the tournament, we have also been noting the the finer points of photobombing. Thanks for teaching us everything you know Sensei Paul. Nailed it! (@ Paul Adele)

06.01.2022 It was assessment class last night so we divided the class in two because of all the different grading syllabuses we now have in our class. Well done to everyone who knuckled down despite the rocky start to class due to the drama with the school gates. Hopefully all sorted now. Hope everyone enjoyed their school holidays. Don’t forget we have the two new bateau bay classes in the area. It’s a great opportunity to get some extra classes into your training regimen. Anyone ove...r orange belt should be doing at least two classes a week if you want to stay motivated and on track for your next grading. See you all next time. Karate on!
