20.01.2022 Just a quick reminder that the Australia Day Beach Class is tomorrow morning (Monday 28th Jan) rain, hail or shine! The class is open to all grades white to black and is a fantastic opportunity to train with Sensei Peter and make friends with other students from Region 1. Where: North Curl Curl Beach (below the surf life saving club) When: 7:15am for a 7:30am start Wear: swimmers under your gi and belt, hat, sun glasses, sunscreen... Bring: water bottle, towel, training card There is a strong possibility that you will get wet. If you wear a coloured belt it is a good idea to bring a separate plastic bag to put it in after class so your gi doesn't get dyed. Normal Monday classes will run in the evening. Looking forward to seeing you there!

19.01.2022 All region 1 students are invited to attend a free zoom grading format/assessment class tomorrow. This quick video explains times for each grade and how to access your link to attend

08.01.2022 Yes - we are back! It's time to get out of hibernation and jump back into training. We have one more "limited edition" class this Sunday (5/7) from 10-11am before we return to our regular classes on Monday (6/7). This gives you a chance to banish the softness and do up to three classes in two days! There are a few changes in place to help reduce the risk and spread of covid:... * Monday 1st class will run from 6:00-6:50pm to allow for cleaning and changeover before 2nd class at 7:00-8:00pm * remove your footwear before signing in/entering the hall and place it away from the shoes/footwear of others. This is to help avoid congestion before & after class * use hand sanitiser before and after class. There will be a bottle on the sign in table which will be set up outside the hall * enter through the door & stairs on the oval side of the hall and exit via the stairs & door on the opposite side of the hall * no spectators * bring your own water bottle * place your belongings in the hall 1.5m away from others (family groups may keep their belongings together) * no running around, tip, etc before class. * leave promptly after class * no kiais, partner work, kick shield/focus mit drills, sparring * stand up bow in/out & avoid stretching activities on the ground ** If you feel unwell please stay home and rest. I'm looking forward to training with you soon!
