23.01.2022 Ravenhall Prime Dojo is really taking shape...

21.01.2022 Hiya Cairnlea Karate-ka, Hope everyone’s doing well and staying safe. I see a few of you in the Zoom Online Dojo, but not all of you, so thought I’d check in to say hi for those I don’t see. Hopefully we will be in a position to resume dojo training soon, which brings me to my other reason for this post - the Region 6 Prime Dojo!... Yes, we are getting a full time training venue! The Region 6 Prime Dojo will be in Ravenhall, just 7 km from the Cairnlea Dojo, about a 10-12 minute drive. The training area is bigger than our current training area, and the floor will be decked out with mats! When I know more (and can say more), I’ll let you know. Otherwise, keep your training up, and for those who aren’t training on Zoom, keep your fitness levels up so when you do come back it’ll not too big of a shock to your body! 20.01.2022 One of my favourite to watch perform Kata and Kihon. Miki Rebecca Nakamachi also teaches correct posture and movement in karate. Amazing to watch.

19.01.2022 Good afternoon Cairnlea Karate-ka, A quick belated congratulations to a few Cairnlea students who achieved their 4th Kyu Red Belt yesterday - Frank, Klara, Daniel, Joe, & Jim, and also a congrats to Ethan on achieving his 6th Kyu Green Belt. The sun is out and about today and the weather improving, so let’s keep following the rules in the hope we can resume a new normal life soon including being back in the dojo.... Until then, we’re continuing to run Online Dojo classes every day, often two classes. Miss you all! Hang in there - Dan Sensei

19.01.2022 Exciting News!!! GKR Karate are excited to announce the opening of the new full time dojo at Ravenhall. The Cairnlea dojo will cease to exist and will be amalgamated into the new dojo: Although we let go of this dojo with a heavy heart and some very fond memories, we will be now offering our members a specialised facility for Karate, which will give our karatekas a much better experience.... The new dojo, Ravenhall Prime, located at 4/11, Rockfield way, Ravenhall will open on Monday 9/11/2 http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=-37.779366,144.749552 Attached is the current timetable for the dojo. 15.01.2022 Good evening Cairnlea Karate-ka, As one door closes, another door opens. Now replace the word ‘door’ with the word ‘dojo’. This is my last post on the Cairnlea Page. Booking in will be essential for the next two weeks to comply with the Governments Covid-safe directions, but after 22 November, we can open up to class sizes larger than 20! 08.01.2022 Good afternoon Cairnlea Karate-ka, Well, it’ll be an end of an era soon. Cairnlea Dojo will be no more. But with one door closed, another huge door opens with our Region 6 Prime Dojo in Ravenhall. It’s situated about 7 km from Cairnlea, so really no issue with distance.... Stay tuned for class times, but all going to plan, the Dojo should be open next Monday! Can’t wait! Otherwise (and again all going to plan), this afternoon will be my last Online Dojo class for a Monday. If you’re doing nothing, join in. If you’re doing something else, skip that and join in!
