25.01.2022 A couple of videos coming of our work on saifa this evening for the adults class. We got our heart rate up, worked on the bags with some saifa moves to gage distance and kime required to be effective, put it all together in kata presentation. Finished off with pad work punching drill. Awesome effort by all. We welcomed new student Akash who had a brilliant first night. See you all next week.... Cheers Lisa x

20.01.2022 Only one photo tonight. We were so caught up in our training we completely forgot about photos. Kids class had 2 new friends. Welcome Hayden and Luca. We went through basics and self defence from grabs. Fun times. Lots of energy in the room for the kids this evening. Adults class was a mix of grading combos and drills from the weekend seminar. Lots of great reminders and lots of little things that make a difference to our katas. ... Don’t forget the seminar this Sunday at Albion Park 10-11.30am. No cost to those on direct debit or 1 sticker only. Great night at a Corrimal. A big thanks to those who attended the seminar and shared last night and to our awesome instructor group. 19.01.2022 A great work out tonight by all who attended. Kids class focused on focusing, keeping a fist, escapes and the first 8 moves of 1st kata. Great effort kids. Adults class were run in 2 groups, black belt grading format drills and white to orange format drills. Buddies provided extra feedback on technique and pushed each other to improve. ... Love the energy of this group. Always there for each other as well as their own training. Some fabulous stances tonight and so proud of the effort put in. Keep up the great work. 14.01.2022 Adults Xmas class 2020. So proud of this group of dedicated students. They take care of each other, work hard and help push others to do their best. No matter the grade, the effort is outstanding. We had a lot of achievements in 2020, we grew in confidence and we always leave training with a smile. Thank you. You are the reason we all turn up each week. The community spirit here is infectious.... To the Corrimal instructor group...we have been a strong group for many years now. I love watching us continue to grow and appreciate all the strength and support you always offer. This year saw lots of challenges together we overcame them all. 13.01.2022 We are back Corrimal... Cobweb class tonight to get the body and brain back into karate mode. Refreshed basics opposite partners in sparring lines, refreshed etiquette, the 5 principles, went through the theme for this year at Corrimal and got to spend time with higher belts learning what ever we wanted and receiving a tip from our buddies to better a technique. Went through the katas to refresh and got to watch the higher grades do a couple of katas. ... Great to see a couple from the kids class join the big kids class and great to see Martin Ryan finally receive the Dojo Kun award for 2020. Well deserved. Try and get to class a little earlier as there is extra sign in required for NSW health. Everyone including instructors need to scan the code and sign in. We don’t need to wear masks to train but will keep you all updated as soon as we hear anything different. Welcome back and great effort first night back. Cheers Lisa x

08.01.2022 Another great effort at Corrimal tonight, with numbers good at both classes. Remember we now have 2 classes on Thursday - 630 to 715 and 715 to 8.00. Student of the month for April was Gabriel Badarne, who put in a great effort all month. Well deserved Gabriel Certificates for effort and focus today for Govind Kumar, Arliah Edmund and Mathew Edmund - well done all! 07.01.2022 Tonight Corrimal Monday night instructor team taught our last class. Not a decision made lightly after 16 years of teaching. So many achievements, challenges, friendships, laughs, class plans and instant feedback (lol) It’s been an experience of epic proportions. ... The support from fellow instructors, students and their families have made Corrimal dojo the most awesome community and place to train. So many proud moments to look back on and so many students faces we will miss. Thank you to everyone involved in Corrimal dojo over the years. Mia and Jason you are my hero’s. My absolute rocks. Thank you so much for who you are and the love and support. Glenn and Trea thank you for always gravitating back to Corrimal and for your input. Greg you are a legend. We continue our training with GKR and we wish all Corrimal students the strength and commitment it takes to succeed in your goals. Much love and thanks for the memories. Over and out... 05.01.2022 Corrimal Thursday class has been going well over the last few weeks, with consistent though slightly low numbers (easier to physical distance though ) A few new students, Dale and Mason last week and Lars and Calix this week, all who earned certificates for a great first class. Certificate this week also for Poppie Rea, who trained fabulously and is ready for her yellow belt grading this month. Well done Poppie. Student of the month for September was Carmen Drain. Notable im...provements in your technique over the last weeks Carmen, great work and a well deserved award Sempai Steven and Sempai Tanya are going an excellent job assisting, running large parts of the class and bringing new energy to the dojo.
