25.01.2022 Champs & second class shenanigans.

25.01.2022 Exciting news we can return to training in the dojo on Monday. 1. NEW TIMETABLE As you will see from the new timetable, we have three dojo's opening on Monday the 15th. Gwandalan, Tuggerah & Gosford FTC.... 2. CLASS FEES It will be a cash only $10 per class. Correct money needs to be taken. 3. BOOKING SYSTEM Because we can only have 10 students per class a booking system will allow students to book classes on a first in best dressed basis. https://bit.ly/GKRKarateRegion15Bookings 4. ZOOM CLASSES Until classes return to normal, we will continue the zoom classes albeit at a reduced frequency.

22.01.2022 Huge round of applause for all competitors but a special shout out to Taz and Jas. Taz competed in kumite, his first tournament and he smashed it. It was amazing to see how far he has come, you made your Sensei even more proud. Also congrats to Jas who competed in a few events but pushed herself and did Bassadai for the first time in a tournament.

21.01.2022 Lil champs back at it at the state championships in Sydney today. Jas got silver in Kata & bronze in kumite. Taz got bronze in kumite & Jaz got bronze in Kata. Thanks to you all for keeping me updated.

18.01.2022 Another fab session today, on the hump of the week at the peak time of 4pm. We did a spirited warm up, followed by kumate type moves and then combinations of side kicks, strikes and blocks. We then did portions of 2nd kata and you all then did your own grade kata to your own timing. Well done you guys and I think we all had fun? Remember your home work.... 1-What does GKR stand for and what does it mean? 2- Send me a video of your grade kata and I will give you some valuable feed back.

13.01.2022 We had our fourth live on-line dojo session this afternoon. This time we spent a lot of time on concentrating on certain details in Saifa, Bassai dai and Sieinchin. You guys did extremely well, especially when you were doing stuff that was unfamiliar to you. Thanks for your input and feedback. We also revealed the exciting news that sometime soon, GKR will introduce a format for on-line grading....STAY TUNED. In the meantime, send me your kata videos and Ill give you some val...uable feedback. It's really important to stay 'on top' of your kata, it doesnt take long to forget the important points and that can set your progress back big time! Go hard have fun every one.

10.01.2022 We had our first on-line session today at 4pm. What a great session. We started with the warm up and extended fitness drills inluding stances, sumo drills and kumate-inspired drills. We then did a series of block amd strike combinations, followed by 'on the spot' 2nd kata, saifa and bassai dai. HOMEWORK (1) Go to your online dojo-tutorials- -read the section 'introduction to kata'... -read the section about your grade kata -Practice your grade kata. (2) Research: -what does GKR stand for? -What does it mean?
