25.01.2022 Hi there all you awesome amazing Helensvale students, well the karate year is over for the Helensvale DOJO and it has been quite a year. Lets hope for a better 2021. Dont forget we will be back on the 6th of January, if you are around at that time remember the class sizes are often a bit smaller so jump in to get a little extra tuition. Sensei's Raylene, Maddi, Geno and myself would like to wish you all a very merry christmas and an amazing 2021. We love what we do and our re...ward is to see GKR students grow and discover amazing things about themselves. Well tonight we had a games night with a couple of physical challenges for those wanting to have a go. Sensei Maddi organised most of the games with the help of Sensei's Raylene and Geno. 20.01.2022 Hi there Helensvale Karateka we hope you enjoyed your session last night and walked away with a sweat and some things to work on. When my Sensei gives me a correction I do my best to work on it over the next few days so next time he sees me I have fixed or improved what I was doing. Generally speaking if you dont practise it within the next 24 hours you will forget it. (Thats not a criticism is just how our brains work). Anyway dont forget next week we will be training outsi...de but undercover so definately wear runners of some sort, its bare concrete. If you like just wear comfortable street clothes too. To enter, park in Rugby street which is just of Discovery drive. There is a gate just on the corner of Rugby and discovery drive. See you there.

20.01.2022 Hi there Helensvale Karateka, below is a pic of the students who graded on the weekend, congratulations to everyone. Grading is a hard thing as it should be. (Well its always hard for me so I think that's only fair) Your sensei's had fun with last nights class and hope you all did. We had a bit of a back to basics last night working on improving stances and use of our hips to generate speed and power. We also had a bit of fun with a handy self defence approach to defend against an untrained attacker.

07.01.2022 Hi there Helensvale karate ninja's We hope you all enjoyed our classes on Wednesday night. What a night it was with 66 students plus sensei's in the first class and 36 in the second class. A HUGE thanks goes to Maddi and Raylene getting everyone signed in given a certain sensei left all his paperwork at home. Also thankyou to the other sensei's and senior belt students who willingly helped out. We matched up the junior belt students with higher belts and went through basics with the higher belts gave their partners a couple of tips to help them. Everyone was really engaged, helping each other and making new friends. It was truly amazing to see how everyone was working together. A couple of pics are attached.
