18.01.2022 URGENT ATTENTION! Due to the large number of students grading on this Sunday, 13th September 2020, we will have to split the grading into 2 sessions. The first ...session (check in at 10.30am) will be as usual from 11.00am - 12.30pm for White belts to Yellow belts only. Second session (check in at 12.30pm) will be from 1.00pm for Yellows belt and above. We will impose a "One parent allow in for each family rule" in order to comply with the current Covid-Safe Plan requirement on social distancing imposed by the State government. I do apologise for this last minute changes as the numbers attending was not expected to be this huge. Thank you for your understanding. See more

12.01.2022 10/11/20 - Kidman Park Dojo An Awesome and Fantastic warm weather for training today. Our Champions did well and pushed themselves hard.... As the class was so huge for a single photo shot, our photographer did a great job taking the class photo using panorama selection. 1/4 of the class missing in the photo and she added Sensei Edde in by drawing a blue stick-man. Well done!

11.01.2022 Dear R9 Karate-Ka, Effective from Tuesday 17 November 2020 all classes will be suspended. As you may of all seen today in South Australia, S.A Health have put ...indoor sport into a two week closure which includes Karate. Please note that here at GKR, we care about our students and instructors so we fully support this decision. A text will be sent to students tomorrow morning letting them know about our classes temporarily closing and there training fees will be suspended during this period. It can take up to 48 hours for payments to stop so those that have money come out tomorrow or Wednesday then they may still have a payment come out. We ask that you keep an eye on your emails for official correspondence and please keep in contact with your Facebook Dojo pages for updates. And lastly please check in on your Karate friends and family. We supported each other through this last time, we can do it again this time.

08.01.2022 Dear Karate-ka and Parents This Sunday 9/8/20 will be our first public grading since the Covid-19 lockdown in March. We will have a large number of students attempting their next level, hence we divided the grading into two sessions.... The first session is for Yellow and Orange Belt assessment (check in at 10.30am) and the second session is for Green Belt and above assessment (check in at 12.30pm). Due to the current Covid-19 guidelines for social distancing, we will only allow ONE PARENT into the grading session. We apologies for this restriction and believe that everyone will understand the current situation. Everyone MUST sanitise your hand (provided at the door) before entering the gym. If you are unwell, with symptoms may include: fever, coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache, muscle or joint pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, loss of sense of smell, altered sense of taste, loss of appetite and/or fatigue, please DO NOT ATTEND as you will be refused entry. Thank you for your attention.

07.01.2022 1/9/20 - Kidman Park Dojo First day of Spring training for our Champions. We trained hard as usual and worked on kick shields, focus mitts and block with noodles.... Well done to our Champions on Sunday tournament with 11 medals in total for Kidman Park. Awesome and Fantastic!

Morning run with the kids on their scooters and dog in hand, GKR Online Dojo, (stretching one - was awesome for lower back and legs), ... followed by Kata work, whilst the kids run around with their nerf guns lol Needsless to say I got shot in the behind a few times lol Now to make everyones lunch and clean our rooms! OUR CLASSES ARE RE-OPENING FROM TUESDAY 1ST DECEMBER IN SOUTH AUSTRAL...IA The majority of our venues have granted us immediate access to their halls and classes will commence straight away in these locations. A small number of schools have indicated a delay in re-opening their hall to community hirers, but we will continue corresponding with these venues and let you know as soon as those classes can open. 02.01.2022 Had so much fun with GKR Karate Online Dojo this afternoon; in between moving house, working from home and online home schooling lol - what a crazy time hey! Were all sweaty and smiling - time for some Kata work now! #keepbeingawesome

02.01.2022 Good morning Hope you are all well. I miss you all! 7 days of no new COVID-19 cases... I have returned to work as usual, kiddies are back at school, and Im training from home as best I can ... Fill me in as to how you are, how are you staying motivated at home, your progress and fitness routines and any questions you may have with your own karate training To keep motivated, I set myself an April challenge; I managed to train for 30-60mins every second day... I did the stats and it worked out to only 56% strike rate of training... SO... For May to July... Im aiming for a higher % of training days for myself... I challenge myself for 90 consecutive days of fitness and strength circuits 20mins, Kata 20mins and GKR online dojo sessions 20-30mins daily. This is all dependent upon me waking up before my children or itll have to be late at night hahaha - wish me luck
