20.01.2022 Good class last night with a lot of impact work on the bag to reinforce the importance of correct technique shaping. Congratulations to Troy and Samantha who will join Adhip, Tamara, Evangeline, Tyler and Penelope in attempting their next grade this weekend. Starting 19th August, the Pines class will be running from 6-7pm.... As advised last night, next week will be my last night at the Pines so we will make it a memorable one! See you then!

14.01.2022 Dear South Australian Students, After a brief closure, we’re excited to announce that. OUR CLASSES ARE RE-OPENING FROM TUESDAY 1ST DECEMBER IN SOUTH AUSTRAL...IA The majority of our venues have granted us immediate access to their halls and classes will commence straight away in these locations. A small number of schools have indicated a delay in re-opening their hall to community hirers, but we will continue corresponding with these venues and let you know as soon as those classes can open. An up-to-date class timetable for your region can be viewed by clicking the below button: https://gkrkarate.com/region-9-timetable/ For those students on a Direct Debit system, please note that your payments were suspended just after the lockdown was announced and their re-activation will be timed so that you will not be charged for any of the class-closure period. 10.01.2022 Record equalling attendance of 31 tonight. We welcomed Sensei Isaac who will be running the class from now on, assisted by Sensei Jordan. It has been a true pleasure to lead this dojo for the last 18 months. I have learned from each of you, from those who have been there since the start like Troy and Izzy, those who joined us from other dojos like Samantha and the Noskes, those who started with us like Tracy and Adhip, and those who have moved on like Lachlan and Phoebe.... I hope you all continue your journey in whichever direction it takes you. I also want to issue my sincere thanks to Sensei Jordan, who has grown enormously in both skill and leadership in the time I have worked with him. You will all be remembered - each button represents a successful Pines student grading. Until we meet again; - Pursue the highest standards of personal character - Cultivate a spirit of effort and perseverance - Exercise courtesy and respect toward others - Refrain from reckless and violent behaviour - Be faithful and sincere in everything you do. 09.01.2022 IMPORTANT TO READ A message about this upcoming grading from Sensei Edde. Dear Karate-ka and Parents... This Sunday 9/8/20 will be our first public grading since the Covid-19 lockdown in March. We will have a large number of students attempting their next level, hence we divided the grading into two sessions. The first session is for Yellow and Orange Belt assessment (check in at 10.30am) and the second session is for Green Belt and above assessment (check in at 12.30pm). Due to the current Covid-19 guidelines for social distancing, we will only allow ONE PARENT into the grading session. We apologies for this restriction and believe that everyone will understand the current situation. Everyone MUST sanitise your hand (provided at the door) before entering the gym. If you are unwell, with symptoms may include: fever, coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache, muscle or joint pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, loss of sense of smell, altered sense of taste, loss of appetite and/or fatigue, please DO NOT ATTEND as you will be refused entry. Thank you for your attention.

08.01.2022 URGENT ATTENTION! Due to the large number of students grading on this Sunday, 13th September 2020, we will have to split the grading into 2 sessions. The first ...session (check in at 10.30am) will be as usual from 11.00am - 12.30pm for White belts to Yellow belts only. Second session (check in at 12.30pm) will be from 1.00pm for Yellows belt and above. We will impose a "One parent allow in for each family rule" in order to comply with the current Covid-Safe Plan requirement on social distancing imposed by the State government. I do apologise for this last minute changes as the numbers attending was not expected to be this huge. Thank you for your understanding. See more
