25.01.2022 Dear South Australian Students, After a brief closure, we’re excited to announce that. OUR CLASSES ARE RE-OPENING FROM TUESDAY 1ST DECEMBER IN SOUTH AUSTRAL...IA The majority of our venues have granted us immediate access to their halls and classes will commence straight away in these locations. A small number of schools have indicated a delay in re-opening their hall to community hirers, but we will continue corresponding with these venues and let you know as soon as those classes can open. An up-to-date class timetable for your region can be viewed by clicking the below button: https://gkrkarate.com/region-9-timetable/ For those students on a Direct Debit system, please note that your payments were suspended just after the lockdown was announced and their re-activation will be timed so that you will not be charged for any of the class-closure period. As such, your payments will not re-commence until your local/usual GKR Karate dojo has re-opened. If you’re happy to travel a little further to train until your local dojo re-opens, then please email us at the address below and we will arrange to re-activate your training pass. 25.01.2022 URGENT ATTENTION! Due to the large number of students grading on this Sunday, 13th September 2020, we will have to split the grading into 2 sessions. The first ...session (check in at 10.30am) will be as usual from 11.00am - 12.30pm for White belts to Yellow belts only. Second session (check in at 12.30pm) will be from 1.00pm for Yellows belt and above. We will impose a "One parent allow in for each family rule" in order to comply with the current Covid-Safe Plan requirement on social distancing imposed by the State government. 17.01.2022 26/1/20 - Para Hills West dojo Our Champions turned up in force for our Australia Day Karate training. As always, everyone pushed harder and got better than they were yesterday.... Well done Champions!

15.01.2022 Dear R9 Karate-Ka, Effective from Tuesday 17 November 2020 all classes will be suspended. As you may of all seen today in South Australia, S.A Health have put ...indoor sport into a two week closure which includes Karate. Please note that here at GKR, we care about our students and instructors so we fully support this decision. A text will be sent to students tomorrow morning letting them know about our classes temporarily closing and there training fees will be suspended during this period. It can take up to 48 hours for payments to stop so those that have money come out tomorrow or Wednesday then they may still have a payment come out. We ask that you keep an eye on your emails for official correspondence and please keep in contact with your Facebook Dojo pages for updates. And lastly please check in on your Karate friends and family. We supported each other through this last time, we can do it again this time.

15.01.2022 16/8/20 - Para Hills West Dojo Perfect morning for an Awesome and Fantastic session with our Champions. We worked on basics, dual roundhouse kicks, Katas and Kumite.... Well done Champions!

14.01.2022 16/2/20 - Para Hills West dojo Another Awesome and Fantastic morning sessions with all our Champions. In the first session, we quickly went through basics then followed up with advance stance with body conditioning. Finished up with Katas.... Our Kumite session had all our Champions pushing themselves forward building up endurance while learning more new skills with Sensei Peter Lombardi. Well done Champions!

09.01.2022 Dear Karate-ka and Parents This Sunday 9/8/20 will be our first public grading since the Covid-19 lockdown in March. We will have a large number of students attempting their next level, hence we divided the grading into two sessions.... The first session is for Yellow and Orange Belt assessment (check in at 10.30am) and the second session is for Green Belt and above assessment (check in at 12.30pm). Due to the current Covid-19 guidelines for social distancing, we will only allow ONE PARENT into the grading session. We apologies for this restriction and believe that everyone will understand the current situation. Everyone MUST sanitise your hand (provided at the door) before entering the gym. If you are unwell, with symptoms may include: fever, coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache, muscle or joint pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, loss of sense of smell, altered sense of taste, loss of appetite and/or fatigue, please DO NOT ATTEND as you will be refused entry. Thank you for your attention.

07.01.2022 2/2/20 - Para Hills West Dojo Morning training on Sunday is the one of the best session for our Champions. We worked on basic strikes followed by focusing on round house kick on kick shields with the help of parents. Finishing off with grade Katas.... Second session which is the 100% a Kumite class helps our Champions to polish up their sparring skills. Well done Champions!

06.01.2022 1/3/20 - Para Hills West Dojo Our Sunday Champions came to train in force this morning. Everyone pushed themselves hard and focus well working through basics, combos and Kata. More time was spent refining Kata techniques to look sharper.... Congratulations to Junior-Sempai Sofia for achieving her next level up to 4th Kyu. Second class, our Kumite session with Sensei Peter Lombardi puts everyone on their toes polishing their sparring techniques. Well done to all our Awesome and Fantastic Champions!
