21.01.2022 Good afternoon Ravenhall Karate-ka, Exciting news today with the next step in the easing of restrictions. We are now allowed up to 150 people inside the dojo, including students and spectators, provided spectators continue to observe social distancing and wear a face mask. When doing partner work, students may still wear a mask if they feel they need to. That option is specific to each student. If a student chooses to wear one, that choice will be supported and respected, ...not ridiculed or mocked. Additionally, I’ve brought my stand up bag, some focus mits, and kick shields down for use by Ravenhall Karate-ka. That’s for use, not abuse! These are personally purchased but made available to you to use. Please respect that. Rules for use of the stand up bag:- 1/ I haven’t filled the stand up bag base with water. Please, DON’T USE THE STAND UP BAG UNTIL I HAVE. I’ll do this on Monday evening. 2/ The stand up bag should only be used by students, not spectators, and only under the supervision from your Sensei. No supervision, no use. Strictly. 3/ The stand up bag is a cardio bag, not a heavy bag. It’s not for ‘punching into next week’. Don’t abuse it. 15.01.2022 Hiya Ravenhall Karate-ka, Just a quick reminder of the grading curriculum class starting at 2pm tomorrow. Bring your water bottle, kumite gear, and lots of enthusiasm, and arrive 15-20 mins early so I can check everyone in. Can’t wait to go through a simulation grading!...
