25.01.2022 So it was a smaller class today at Springwood but that just meant that we had more time to spend fine tuning our karate.

24.01.2022 So great work today Springwood karate do family. We tried some great combo work some kicks and worked on getting up and protecting ourselves when being attack by vicious and dangerous pool noodles.

19.01.2022 It was so good to watch everyone grade today. There were 130 people graded today and they all worked hard and deserved their new belts. So proud of you all.

19.01.2022 It’s was great to see everyone putting in their best effort today at Springwood. The white belts practiced their basics and worked out how some of their basics would work in real life. Whilst the coloured belts practiced their advanced blocks and Strikes. Well done all karate-ka.

14.01.2022 Well not rain or heat could keep these karate ka from training today. And we found there were a few sneaky cookie monsters in this crew. Well done to Grady who graded to his yellow tip today. Even though they had trouble not laughing at the same time.

12.01.2022 Well it’s back to basics today at Springwood. We focused on practicing our basics slowly to fine tune our techniques. Then it all went a little strange at the end.

12.01.2022 Congratulations to everyone who graded today. It will be great to see so many new coloured belts in the dojo next week.

11.01.2022 Well it was great to break up into smaller groups and focus on our basics, techniques & combinations. Then it was kata practice for the yellow belts and a reaction game for the coloured belts. All in we are all so good.

10.01.2022 Well basics had a lot of thought and checking today then a shoulders game for white belts. 1st and 2nd kata for yellow belts and bunkai from kata saifa for the other coloured belts. Congratulations to Indy grading to 9th kyu yellow tip.

09.01.2022 It was great practice today at Springwood. We practiced our grade kata’s and kumite drills to help our confidence and discipline.

07.01.2022 So today we worked really hard to improve our core strength whilst still practicing some of our basic karate. We practiced blocks in stances, squat kicks, ladder work to increase footwork and speed punching to increase our stamina and effort. Congratulations to Valentino for grading to orange tip 7th kyu ho.

06.01.2022 Well today’s class at Springwood resembled some of the original karate classes in Okinawa. The class was completed in silence. Everyone worked very hard and should all be proud of their efforts. Well done Springwood and welcome to our new starting students.

05.01.2022 We had a great training session at Springwood today. The white belts practiced their basic strikes and blocks, while the coloured belts worked on their kata.
