See information below and do what you need to do to help us stay safe!... As class numbers are limited to 10 people for the time being, can you please ensure you pre-book! It will be First in first served and anyone who misses out will be put on top of the list for the following weeks class. If you book in for class, can you please make sure you attend as I imagine our classes will be over subscribed for a little while. If you cannot attend, please provide plenty of notice so I can let others know they can take your place! This means that after Wednesday ...no more Dojo training for the next 6 weeks! Tomorrow...Tuesday 4th August 6.15pm is your last chance to get your DOJO fix.... Make sure you come along....it will be extra different and especially enjoyable Please make sure that you all keep an eye out for the ONLINE DOJO coming your way again soon. And please keep up with your training. Many of us are close to being at grading requirements or we are there....DONT lose your momentum. This is being organised through Kancho James directly as GKR has its hands full organising Covid things in Australia right now. So click on the link and register yourself. ... 11.01.2022 Heya Torquay Karateka!!! Training in the dojo for 2020 is over but if you wanna get your sweat on - one more time before Xmas, then let me know! I plan on doing a combat type circuit at my place Tuesday 22nd December starting at 5:30pm (was 6:00pm) and it should last maybe 30-40 mins only!... Heavy bag, speed ball, kick shield work, hill sprints, skipping, sit-ups, Lunges and the list keeps going One more chance to work on your karate fit body before it’s all ruined at Xmas time Private message me if you plan on coming and if you need my address! Should be great little session and I’m looking forward to being motivated by training with you. We are in the process of dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s before we get back to the Dojo. Keep an eye out for updates on this page as well as messages from either myself or sensei Adam. 04.01.2022 Hey Karate Ka. Dojo classes are back effective 17th Nov at Torquay. A few things to cover off.... Firstly, please check your inbox and junk folders for an email from GKR as this will contain our updated Covid safety letter and a link to our online booking system. Students MUST book into class via this link. We cannot accept walk ins at this stage. From this link you can see how many spots are available in both Tuesday and Saturday’s classes. Bookings online are open to any PTF and Direct Debit students. If you don't have the link, let your Sensei know and we can arrange a link to be forwarded to you ASAP. Secondly, with masks still in place across Victoria, students must wear a mask upon entering the hall, during bathroom and drink breaks, and when leaving the hall. You do not have to wear a mask while training unless you want to. We won't be able to accommodate spectators at this time to allow for more space for students. We will be sticking to the social distancing rules within the hall also with students having enough space and if needed, we can open up the second room. If spectators or parents must stay, we ask they adhere to all mask and social distancing rules outside the Dojo. With all that said, it’s time to get those Gis Ironed, training bags dusted off and drink bottles filled. We are lucky enough to have 20 spots and our normal time slots are available. So get training! With not long left for the rest of the year, we plan on making the most of it in the Dojo. Stay safe and see you all during the week.

04.01.2022 Hello R26 Karate-ka as most of our classes are back up and running although with number restrictions. we are unable to continue running the LIVE ZOOM classes so... this is the last week they will be running. All online dojo subscription payment have been stopped however you will continue to have FREE access to the online dojo indefinitely if you were a subscriber. Thank you sincerely to all those who subscribed as you helped to make it possible to keep the club afloat during a very challenging time. RESPECT TO YOU. Regards Sensei Luke.

01.01.2022 Hey Karate Ka. Great session today. For next weeks class, as it will be the grand final, please wear your favourite footy team colours, footy team hats, footy Jerseys etc. can be any team. If you don’t have a favourite footy team, some places call soccer football so that can count as well. If you don’t have a favourite sport team you can still wear your gi as we all enjoy our Karate too. I’ll be wearing my Fremantle jersey but you can make fun of me for that on Saturday .
