24.01.2022 A Reminder for the first few weeks we need to book you in for classes. You must type name/names, day and times to book in. We are currently capped at 20 students per class, but expecting to have no cap after 1st of July. Thank you for your assistance and understanding.

24.01.2022 Attention ALL Students attempting Grading at Ingleburn High School. Due to higher than expected number of students grading, we MUST now run 2... x session. All students attempting Yellow Belt and Orange Belt Will still start at 9am. All students attempting Green Belt and above will now start at 10.15am. We are sorry for the change again, but this will allow the grading to run smoother. Thank you.

24.01.2022 First night back in the dojo 2 classes. First class focused on basic strikes and punches. Finishing with kata inside and outside, so that everyone had plenty of space. Second class was a kata class, as we had plenty of room in the dojo. Was great to see everyone so keen to get back into training.



24.01.2022 Big turnout tonight as we hosted sensei Ashley. We worked through some combinations then put it to work we some speed competition against partners. The it was onto kata to finish the night off. Thank you to everyone for coming tonight and all the effort you all put in every week

22.01.2022 Great energy in class tonight. Main focus was on block/ counter for points sparing to start with, either with a partner or into the kick shield. Then we moved onto some grappling work to finish off. This continued into the second class, while some students worked on their grading format. Good luck to all Wattle Grove students this weekend

21.01.2022 Perfect night to open up and work outside tonight. Sensei Pat had everyone warm up outside. Then everyone split into groups. White and yellow belts stayed outside and worked on defence using the noodles. Orange and green belts started on kata. Higher grades kicked the bags, technique then into tabata work to get the heart rate up. ... After a break the kata and bag groups swapped. After a few kata rounds for each grade it was core work to finish the night off. See more

21.01.2022 With the final grading for the year this weekend we focused on the grading format. White and yellow belts, with orange and above doing the orange/green format. Then it was onto self defence and some bunkai . To finish the night it was kata, to prepare for this weekend. Good luck to all the students attempting their grading this weekend

21.01.2022 Sensei Pat had the night off, so senseis Brendan and Ruth took the warm up After that it was into basics and combinations. Then everyone partnered up and we started to work on sparing skills. Strike speed was focused on with the slower one having to do a push up! After that all the coloured belts worked on block/counter combinations while the white belts continued with basics. For the last part of class it was slow motion kata. Great to see all the new belt colour in the dojo tonight.

21.01.2022 The kids were outside enjoying having sensei Pat run them all around for the first part of the night The teenagers and adults were inside with a night focused on kata. Working from 1st kata through to saifa. Starting off with exaggerating stances to get a stretch and then speed to get a sweat going. After a break kids worked on combinations while the older group put the focus mitts on do some cardio work. To finish off everyone worked through kata.

21.01.2022 Big class tonight, luckily a few extra senseis were on hand to help out. Sensei Shaun got everyone nice and warm, then the focus was on basics. Higher grades had a few extra combinations at the same time. After that everyone broke into grade kata groups as we fine tuned stances and technique. Great to see everyone focused and work hard



21.01.2022 Quite a few of us will be sore in the morning after tonight! Those that had sparing gear worked hard. Sparing, broken up with cardio and kata - all with mitts and pads on! 20.01.2022 First week of holidays and it was still a great turnout Squats, sit ups, push ups to warm up. Sensei Pat brought out the focus mitts and labelled them for everyone as they walked in! Everyone worked on strikes into the focus mitts, combinations and some basics for the white belts. Some core strengthening after that. ... 18.01.2022 Another great turnout. After warm up and done basics to get moving we broke into kata groups. White belts with sensei Ruth focused on basics, yellow belts on the stage, green/ blue with sensei Pat and red+ work sensei Shaun. Lots of kata to work on the finer points on stances and transitions. After that it was kumite combinations for white and yellow belts, while the higher grades worked on their next higher grade kata. Great work by everyone tonight.

17.01.2022 Get ready everyone. Tomorrow night, 6.30-7.30pm Sensei Yogesh will be starting our Brand New Wattle Grove Class. We have 6 new members all booked in to start and have 5 more spaces for new White Belts. If your wanting to join another family member or friend, please be sure to comment below.

17.01.2022 There was a bit of everything tonight across the grades. After a warm up it was into basics on long stance with some fitness thrown in. Then we broke into kata groups, with the higher grades outside. White belts continued to work on basics. To finish off the night there as some self defence and grappling for the high grades.

17.01.2022 A final reminder to ALL students attempting grading tomorrow. All White Belts Attempting Yellow Belt 9am-10am. Please be there 8.45am at the latest to register and warm up... All Other student attempting Orange Belt, Green Belt, Blue Belt, Red Belt and Brown Belt will start at 10.30am. Please be there 10.15am at the latest to register and warm up. This was texted was yesterday also Address Unit 1 6-8 Porrende St Narellan. Also based on Sqm rule we can have 35 people across each floor. Please be mindful if we need to adjust spectators in and out whilst grading. Hopefully this is not too much longer. We'll see you there and good luck.

16.01.2022 Tonight was the last class of the year for the Wattle Grove warriors It was a smash session, cardio to "warm" up then into combos and kata. Everyone also designed their own group kata. After that it was time to celebrate. Lots of food, drinks and a game of backyard cricket! We have had a great year and the dojo managed to win biggest dojo of the year. For this we must thank all the students for coming every week and the parents for bringing them. 14.01.2022 Lots of energy tonight. Sensei Ruth warmed everyone up. Then it was basics before orange and some yellow belts went outside to work on kata. Everyone else stayed inside to work with the noodles & pads. Class 2 was all about cardio. Boxing on the focus mitts with strength in between. 11.01.2022 Good afternoon students and families. This message is to confirm that GKR Karate Wattle Grove class will not be running tomorrow night due to the school holding a disco. We are aware that many families already know about this however we would like to reach up has an extra reminder. We have an alternative location running at hoxton park public school which will be welcoming students from Wattle Grove at 6:30 p.m.. Your training pass allows you access to this class also if you wish to still train tomorrow night. Alternatively Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. at hoxton park or doing multiple classes next week.

10.01.2022 Everyone worked hard tonight Sensei Shaun warmed everyone up then sensei Pat got the sweat going. White belts were outside working through class plan #1 and some self defence. Yellow and above worked through class plan #9. Yellow belts went outside with sensei Ruth to work on 1st kata using a mitt on their heads to ensure they stayed low. Higher grades worked on kata with cardio in between each one! ... All coloured grades then had the choice of their own kata. Sensei Pat came back in for some core work to finish off! See more

10.01.2022 The class was split into white to orange belts outside with sensei Pat. They started off with basics then onto combinations and blocks with partners. (A few too many push ups required though!) Everyone else was inside with sensei Shaun working with partners on kata, kicks and more advanced combinations. To finish the night off we worked on sparing technique, stepping into block and some kumite (with fitness in between rounds) Congratulations to Leon on grading to yellow tip tonight

09.01.2022 Wednesday night was pumping. Sensei Pat brought along the kick shields and focus mitts. White belts started outside with sensei Ruth working on kicks and strikes into the shields, followed by blocks. Coloured belts were inside working on strike combinations into the focus pads. 08.01.2022 Didn't get the chance for photos tonight. First class was focused on the grading format. After working through basics the class was split into different belt groups, with coloured belts working on combinations and kata, while white belts worked on stances. Second class focused on kata and fitness for coloured grades while white/yellow started on kicks and finished with some open hand sparing (including a mini knock out). 06.01.2022 After a quick warm up it was straight into some cardio with squats, planks, star jumps, jumping into combination, etc. Sensei Pat had everyone firing. Then we split into 2 groups. White/yellow outside working on basics, speed was the focus to see if you could beat them. After that a bit of kata and bunkai. While inside it was grappling and self defence work . Towards the end the white/yellow belts also joined in the self defence. To finish off it was some kata.
