25.01.2022 FIRST TRIAL MATCH MAKES NEW GRMFC SAP PLAYERS HAPPY. The time had arrived - GRMFC SAP players participated in their first trial match vs Granville Rage. All the anxiety had disappeared as the youngest members of the MAGIC family - Under 9 SAP squad, stepped onto Christie Park, as a team. It was hard to distinguish who was proudest, the players or the parents (let’s just say that it was a photo finish). Great enthusiasm and skill was showcased by all of our SAP squads. The coa...ches were very pleased with what they saw. SAP Technical Director, Sergio Tarazona commented, Today was a great way to start the trial season. All of our squads were full of enthusiasm. The players showed a good level of skill. After the games, I caught up with 3 members of our SAP Under 9 squad :Jordan, Joseph and Jayden. All three boys were excited to have played their fist game and look forward to next week. When I asked them about who their favourite player was, it was unanimous- RONALDO. We wish all of our SAP squads, a highly successful and enjoyable year. Thank you to all the parents for the ongoing support of their children and GRMFC. See more

13.01.2022 NEW SIGNINGS: TWO PLAYERS FROM DIFFERENT PATHS FIND A HOME AT MAGIC. Nathan Mellino and Panayioti Gotsis have taken different paths before finding a home at GRMFC. Young Nathan joined GRMFC looking for more First Grade playing, time, after spending his whole career with the one club. The former APIA player had a brief taste of First Grade in 2020 and is eager for more. Like a lot of the other boys, I joined Magic looking for an opportunity. I am fortunate that I can play a ...variety of position so I will play wherever the coach wants me to play, commented Nathan. Nathan spoke of his initial view of Magic; training is well organised and, like all preseason training, it has been exhausting. The club has recruited well and, from my point of view, there are plenty of talented players vying for each position. Panayioti, on the other hand, is an experienced First Grade player, having played for American College, Canterbury Bankstown Berries and Sydney University. He joins Magic in search of being part of a premiership winning squad. When asked about his ambitions for 2021, Panayioti spoke confidently, my aim for this year is to score 10 goals and help Magic to finish at the top of the league. I have enjoyed my time with the club so far. They are a great bunch of guys who are always trying to get the best out of each other. I feel that we can achieve something special this year. When asked to comment on the new recruits, club Football Manager, George Ganiatsas said: Like I keep on pointing out, we are very happy with all of our recruits but it’s early days. Nathan and Panayioti have done well and need to continue getting used to our style of play. GRMFC wishes both players continued success in achieving their individual goals for the year. Go Magic!
