Mick Daly is the founder, president & coach of the GABC having coached at several Commonwealth & Olympic Games. Fitness Training - All Welcome Mon & Wed 6.pm - 7.pm... 11.01.2022 All training & no competing has made for a long year for the boys. But it was excitement all round as they headed off for a weekend boot camp in Rockhampton. The team are looking forward to learning from the strength & conditioning coach, dietician, sports physiologist and of course all that team bonding in the ring. #imbackingbutch #butchMP

10.01.2022 Honoured is an understatement! Thank you The Rotary Club Of South Gladstone & David Nunn from High Risk Solutions for the Paul Harris Fellow nomination. What a massive privilege to be named a Paul Harris Fellow, in appreciation for all the work I have contributed to the community via the Gladstone Amateur Boxing Club. I was surprised & absolutely stoked to have the award presented by Mr & Mrs Hunt & Dave Nunn from the South Rotary Club at what would usually be our Club’s... presentation night. Receiving the award amongst Boxers, parents, club members, my own parents and family made the award all that more precious. I can honestly say as I go into the 25th year of GABC I never started this club for the glory it’s always been about the love of the sport and of course the kids. Everyone who is part of a club knows that it’s not just 1 person it takes an army, & I thank each & every one of you. There have been low times, hard times & stressful times but they are supremely surpassed by the good times, the fun times & with out a doubt the winning times. See more

10.01.2022 Club Sparring Sat 24.10.20 Thank you to all those that traveled to participate in sparing yesterday! It was great to have Rockhampton, Blackwater, Bundaberg & Yeppoon in the gym for some great rounds. As we all know these club sparring sessions are fundamental in keeping the kids focused for 2021. 02.01.2022 2020 - What a year!! In reflection of the mixed bag that was 2020 I just want to say how proud I am, you have all taught me a few lessons in commitment and drive. When you all could have taken the easy option and let’s be honest no one would have blamed you, none of you gave up. When the gym closed and there were no tournaments to travel to, no state or Australian titles to prepare for, you all kept training. You have shown me how much the sport means to you & how dedicate...d you are. This has ignited my commitment to you in 2021, it’s going to be a big year of achieving goals that not only you have set for yourself but goals I fully believe are well within your reach. A massive thank you to all those that help out throughout the year! The club only works with your help, we couldn’t do it all without you. Thank you to all the Boxers, families & fitness group that came to celebrate / kiss goodbye 2020.
