25.01.2022 Father Daniel from the Anglican Church and Rays Soup Kitchen, yesterday took delivery of the new commercial fridge to be used in the Food Bank store in Tank St...reet. The fridge purchase was made possible via a very generous donation by Rio Tinto. Suggested by Rotary Sunrise at a combined presidents meeting, Rays Soup Kitchen was put forward to Rio Tinto as a worthy recipient of money raised at a recent Alumina Industry conference held in Gladstone. This will go a long to helping those less fortunate in our community. Congratulations and thank you to all involved. See more

21.01.2022 Bargains in Gladstone!! Congratulations to The Anglican Church in Gladstone who have opened a new supermarket for people doing it tough. The supermarket is in c...onjunction with Foodbank and it is selling groceries for a fraction of their usual prices. One of their volunteers Irene Dudley says theyve had lots of community support for the shop, including a local tradesmen making them their sales counter. "It was done for us free in record time," she says. She says theyve had lots of people from a range of backgrounds come into the shop since it opened last week. "Some people might come in looking absolutely wonderful and yet they have a healthcare card or a pension card, and they need help as much as the next person, because its difficult for everyone in many ways at the moment."

02.01.2022 Anglican Church Gladstone and Anglicare central Queensland are jointly opening a food centre at 2/25 Tank street on 25/07/18, Wednesday at 10 am. This food centre is running with the help of Food Bank Australia. We will be selling non-perishable food for very low prices for those who are in need, specially pensioners, homeless, jobless people, and for those who have less income and struggling financially. Vegetables, bread and perishable goods are free for the clients which ...is supported by ALDI store through second bite programme.
