16.01.2022 Congrats to all our players who competed in the Rockhampton UTR tournament over the weekend! Dylan & Cooper Price, Maddie Fenton & Nick Crane. Nick made the UTR doubles FINAL with his partner Lachy Vickery. Nick even got some air time....... Congrats again everyone. Good luck to those who are currently playing the teams event in Rocky as well as all the other upcoming tournaments during these school holidays.

10.01.2022 We are chasing any keen tennis players who may be interested in joining our Thursday night fixtures competition for season 2, starting on the 8th of October. Season 1 was a huge success. We trialed the new 35min timed matches and received great feedback so we will continue with this format. 2 singles & 1 doubles. Winners of each pool move up, loser moves down. We cater for ALL standards! As the season goes along, everyone will end up where they should for their level o...f play. The format guaranteed that we had a start and finish time we could stick to, allowing everyone to be home at a reasonable hour. We have music playing and the atmosphere is friendly, social with lots of great tennis being played. JUST THE WAY WE LIKE IT. We had many changes at our club this year and this will be the perfect way to sit down, reflect and celebrate just how far we have come in 2020. So please join us. 08.01.2022 News from the tour Gladstone Nick Crane has again excelled at another tournament during these school holidays. After competing in Rockhampton last week, Nick & fellow CQ Lachy Vickery travelled to the 2020 Burdekin ‘Home Hill Surgery’ Open UTR ... Nick played amazing tennis in the Open round robin singles winning the most sets of any player, losing the least sets of any player, winning the most games of any player & losing the least games of any player. Unfortunately, on a countback, Nick’s one match that he lost in a super tiebreaker to James Rogers was the deciding factor. Nick should be very proud of his achievement! Nick & Lachy’s doubles partnership was far too strong for the rest of the field. The two CQ champions carved up to become open doubles champions. Congrats on an outstanding past week. Next up for our local juniors will be Biloela JDS. Good luck everyone.

05.01.2022 GTSA would like to wish our very own squash stalwart Sue Davis the very best of luck today as she competes in the FINAL of the Qld open squash titles. Win or lose, Sue always does GTSA very proud! Two more GTSA squash members made their way down to the Qld open squash titles, James Allen who competed in the Men’s A grade and junior young gun Nick Briggs who competed and finished 3rd in the men’s Premier event, Nick also competed in the PSA level men’s open, and men’s doub...les event. Well done and congratulations to each of you!!! Sue’s final will be live-streamed on the Squash Queensland Ltd Facebook page at approx 12:45pm today
