19.01.2022 The Gladstone Park Bowling Club is putting on a Bush Fire benefit day in conjunction with the Inner West Council. Join us Saturday 22nd February from 1pm. Weve got a jumping castle, sausage sizzle & four great bands starting at 3pm. All profits will go to bush fire relief charities.

18.01.2022 Coronavirus Update OK Gladovians, it’s time for us to brace ourselves against this nasty little bugger. To see us through the next 6 months we are going to reduce our hours but remain open. We have already seen a number of function cancellations which is entirely understandable. The new hours will be 3 pm to 7 pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday. Tuesday will be open at 2 pm to 7 pm, Friday 2 pm to 9 pm, Saturday 12 pm to 9 pm & Sunday 12 pm to 7 pm.... The Grateful Dads are still on this Sunday, we will check again Friday/Saturday & see if everyone is still up for it. They might not rock the place to its foundations (mainly because there aren’t any) but we can still get out there & have fun with our favorite Dads. Seriously we have to look after each other. Wash your hands & use the hand sanitiser at the bar. Try & keep a sensible distance (use a bowls measure if you have to). If you’re feeling a bit crook stay home for a while. Call your friends & let us know what’s going on. This will pass but it may take a while. When it does we will party like its 1978! (I was 18 OK)

10.01.2022 Things change pretty quick these days. We got a call from Jack (Grateful Dads) yesterday, they now have a 2nd member in precautionary isolation so the only responsible thing to do is to call off this Sundays gig. Disappointing for all but the comeback show is going to be a real celebration. On a brighter note, I think I might have finally fixed that scratchy speaker connection so if you want to come along & chill out to Smooth FM youre more than welcome, practicing social di...stancing of course. Weve also simplified the new temporary hours. They are now as follows. Monday to Thursday - 3pm to 7pm Friday & Saturday - 12pm to 9pm Sunday 12pm to 7pm Thank you Bob Holden for pointing out that I left off Thursday on the web site. Stay tuned & stay healthy.

03.01.2022 A big THANKYOU to everyone who supported the bushfire appeal last Saturday. We raised $4,000 on the day which is fantastic for our little club. The funds were deposited today into the Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery Fund. This was recommended to us by Cheryl McCarthy from Bermagui SLSC, the LEGEND who was on Q+A Bushfire Special & showed us what leadership is all about. We can be pleased that our efforts are going to people on the ground who need it NOW. Also a big shout out to the bands, Brother Brad, Big Dog Zydeco & Bridie King not only for the fantastic show but also for their help with equipment, spruiking & filling in for the cancellation (thanks Steve). Thanks again everyone & give yourselves a pat on the back.
