25.01.2022 This week is your LAST CHANCE to vote for the winners of the Agnes Water Amateur Photography Competition bit.ly/AgnesWaterPhotoComp2020 Vote by ‘liking’ the photos on Conversations via the link above or vote in-store at the Agnes Water Rural Transaction Centre. The most popular photos in the ‘Under 18’s’ and ‘Over 18’s’ category will win a $100 gift voucher. Public voting closes Friday, 5 December. Winners announced Wednesday, 9 December.



23.01.2022 Council will be holding a general meeting on Tuesday, 1 December. The meeting live stream will begin at 9am on Council's Facebook page, YouTube channel and website. For the meeting agenda, visit gladstone.qld.gov.au/council-meetings All attendees will adhere to the social distancing rules and be spaced at least 1.5 metres apart. Due to these restrictions, there will be no public gallery.

21.01.2022 We are proud to support the Australian Red Cross Pillowcase Project workshops. The Pillowcase Project is a disaster resilience education program designed to help children to prepare psychologically and practically for an emergency. Delivered by Australian Red Cross staff and volunteers, the workshops encourage students to be active participants in their own emergency preparedness.... The program is aimed at children ages 8-10, with Council facilitating five sessions at various locations across the region: Mount Larcom Library Monday, 30 November at 3.30pm Calliope Library Tuesday, 1 December at 3.30pm CWA Hall, Ubobo (Boyne Valley) Wednesday, 2 December at 3.30pm Baffle Creek Community Inc. Thursday, 3 December at 3.30pm Agnes Water Library Friday, 4 December at 3.30pm Numbers to workshops are limited so please send all enquiries to [email protected] or phone (07) 3367 4714. 05.01.2022 Marine turtle nesting season is here and seasonal beach closures to dogs are now in effect for Chinaman's Beach and Springs Beach at Agnes Water. Dogs can be disruptive to the marine turtles nesting and hatching process. Keep dogs off the beach until 31 March so they stay #TurtleFriendly. 05.01.2022 Gladstone Aquatic Centre will be closed from 7-13 December for major electrical work as part of our $1.3m facility upgrade. Council and BlueFit Swimming , the facility managers, have taken a staged approach to minimise the impact on pool users and we apologise for any inconvenience.
