23.01.2022 Please see below FFA release - I will update everyone with further information as the next release comes to hand. Tuesday, 17 March 2020 Sydney, Australia... Football Federation Australia (FFA) today advised that it is actively reassessing its position regarding the continuation of all sanctioned grassroots football activities at this time, including competitions, matches and training. Consistent with Australian Government requirements, FFA had earlier this week released guidelines that organised grassroots football competitions may continue but with additional measures designed to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the football community. Since it released its guidelines, FFA has been in constant communication with its community and is continuously receiving a variety of feedback from its grassroots, including competition administrators, and across the game more broadly. FFA is currently working together with representatives from each of its nine State and Territory Member Federations and other relevant stakeholders, within the framework of its guidelines, to ensure that it is responsive to what is a dynamic and continuously-evolving issue and that the health and wellbeing of both the football and wider community remains the highest priority. FFA will communicate a further update later today. Curtis

07.01.2022 Gladstone United are delighted to announce that work will commence shortly on our new change room shed, starting with the removal of the old donger. The Gladstone United committee have been working hard to improve club facilities along with field restoration work in 2020. This work cannot be done without the help of local businesses like THE Shed Company Gladstone and Kit Rudolph who donated an extra $1000 to the project. These ongoing projects will ensure GUFC, Gladstones Oldest Football Club founded in 1966 will continue to remain part of the local community well into the future. Gladstone United would also like to acknowledge the support of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and Glenn Butcher - Member for Gladstone for their ongoing support of local community sporting clubs.
