Just this week alone I’ve seen countless lash extension and brow waxing courses being advertised via an online platform for literally pocket change and NOT by a registered RTO. NO, a loud and resounding NO! I’m all for education in any form (as it’s better than none) but when did an in depth understanding of the topics you learn, real critique from industry professionals and an ab...ility to SAFELY perform treatments become so unimportant? I’m not here to shame others who don’t have the same nationally recognised training, you do you it’s not my business. You’re probably a fantastic tech. BUT as a qualified therapist it is my business to highlight this to consumers. As a matter of curiosity can I have a show of hands if you were unaware that some businesses who advertise for services have no formal education?
