25.01.2022 Work progressing at Freeses Rd Pump Station. I will let you know when the water is back on.

25.01.2022 Bob Whalley one of our councillors was asked us by our Somerset Regional Council community service team to distribute this invitation to small landholders, particularly in the southern parts of our region. I thought the most effective way would be through the GVWB contacts on facebook. The talks were originally planned to be held at the Civic Centre (Lyceum Room), hosted by DAF. They have been converted to webinars and are aimed to address some of the issues that DAF have b...een concerned about due to the drought. The department have converted the small landholder drought feeding forum material into a webinar series. https://www.daf.qld.gov.au//drought-planning-and-recovery- The first webinar kicks off on the 6th of May. (oops missed that one but it is a series so follow it up. I am sure you will find if interesting) The departments contact details are below for your convenience: _______________________________________ Ted Parish Manager, Small Landholder Livestock Response Land Management Department of Agriculture and Fisheries ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T 07 3096 6186 M 0436 951 288 E [email protected] W www.daf.qld.gov.au Level 6, 41 George St, Brisbane 4000 GPO Box 46, Brisbane QLD 4001 Australia

20.01.2022 Tips for avoiding Excess water rates. The board recommends that you read your meter regularly and note your usage. If no water is being used on your property then the numbers on the meter should not be rotating. Turn off all the taps, ensure that no water is being used. Read the meter. Check the meter again in half an hour. If the reading has changed you should check that you have no leaks on your property. Monitor your usage and you wont get a nasty surprise at invoice time. The next invoice will be sent in January 2020. Take care.
