15.01.2022 My husband HATES when I wear heavy makeup! WHATS YOUR PARTNERS OPINION ON MAKEUP? One thing I have learnt (IN MY OPINION), over my 12 years of makeup artistry is that most men are NOT Attracted to the makeup Trends we love to wear! ... 3 crucial points I have learnt (these things might look good in photos but in person it can be too much) 1: They don’t like heavy foundation or it looking too shiny (damn I like to drench myself in highlighter) 2: They don’t like heavy drag eyes! I mean I love a good cut crease with glitter and intense colours.... but most of our partners think we look like drag queens (fair, sometimes we do) 3: They don’t like colours on the lips! Over the years I have tried to Perfect a makeup look for my clients so that when their partners/men at nightclubs, look at them they aren’t put off by the amount of makeup on their face. They actually look At my client and think how naturally stunning they look! And Yes this is possible! I receive msgs from clients all the time about how much their partner couldn’t stop staring at them and keep their hands off them!! Or that they picked up on a night out! NOTHING MAKES ME HAPPIER THAN READING THESE MSGS! It’s Not that we wear makeup just for men but there’s nothing worse than feeling self conscious about the products you have on your face!! When I do makeup I want to achieve that effortless natural glam. Unless my client wants a full beat face and wants to look SNATCHED AF! Coz I’m all about that too!
