23.01.2022 | AND SO IT IS.... | It's been some time since I posted on my feed and that is not because I didn't have amazing things to post or talk about. Most would already have seen that last weekend a beautiful lady @life.with.bronte and myself created an outdoor day event showcasing small businesses across a region in Melbourne. Our crafts, our passions, and entrepreneurships were all on show. Who would have thought that nearly a week later, these businesses are probably thinking ab...out their existence now and not their excellence. For those of you who don't know me, Glamping Co Melbourne is a side gig for me. My fulltime gig is being a Relationship Director at a major Bank in Australia. And have I been run off my feet this week. I have given the businesses I care for advice, loans, temp overdrafts, extensions, helping deal with a $Aus that's plummeted, and guiding them through what can only be described as unchartered waters. And guess what......they will survive and thrive. As will the amazing businesses that showcased their crafts last weekend......It's time to thrive dear friends. Over the coming days, I will pay hommage to each and every business that participated in this event. This isn't about exposure. This is about the Australian spirit!!!! 16.01.2022 CIRCLE OF INFLUENCE "The pace of change has never been this fast, yet it will never be this slow again." Justin Trudeau Change is happening and we all feel threatened to some degree. We are all outside our comfort zones and this can trigger fear and anxiety. Our brains are trained to protect us from this type of change....but it releases chemicals that unfortunately make us less problem solvers or creative generators and more slaves to tried and true routines...rather than cr...eate new strategies to move forward. In effect, our brains are shutting down the part that is really needed most at this time. However we can thrive. The circle of influence is something that can help during this time. In summary, all of us have deep concerns right now and theory states that we should during high change focus our thoughts and attention to areas where we have control or influence (even indirect like this post). It's about your own actions and self talk now. 3 circles 1. Circle Of Control - 2. Circle Of Influence 3. Circle Of Concern You can choose to focus all your attention on the area outside your influence, like blaming government, management, weather, global economy, or even just bad luck.
