25.01.2022 Guess whos back?! From next Tuesday @caitlynzibara will be working with us again, Caitlyn started with us back in 2016 (what the??..) and completed her apprenticeship in 2019. She has a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, 4 years experience as a beauty therapist and lash artist including mega volume extensions. She is also our laser queen trained in all of our laser services (hair removal, tattoo removal, skin treatments etc). Caitlyn will be working with us from next week every Tuesday and Thursday. 25.01.2022 Which brow shape are you?! Some beauties are blessed with great natural brow shape, others arent so lucky! But lucky for you we can alter your shape. A brow wax / reshape can sometimes do the trick, but if your lacking hairs where you should have we have other options. A simple tint or a henna tint can be a short term solution. A henna tint usually appears a little more defined than a regular tint and should last longer, but the choice is yours. If you have never tried tinti...ng before we recommend a standard tint first to see how you like it, before trying the henna. We also offer microblading and powder brows (cosmetic tattooing) if you are looking for a more permanent solution. Cosmetic tattooing lasts usually 1-2 years and we recommend tops every year or so to keep them looking fresh. There way can really transform the shape of your brows into your desired shape. There are various techniques we can use when it comes to cosmetic tattooing, in this case we used a tattoo machine to create subtle hairstrokes rather than microblading. This is after the premiers advice to wear masks in the workplace wherever social distancing is not possible. I will also have masks available for clients if they wish to wear one. 17.01.2022 What kind of lashes do you like best? Many dont realise we can style your lashes in many different ways with different lengths, curls and thicknesses to suit you. When you book online you will see the different options available: Classic is a single extension for every real lash. This is usually subtle and great for a natural look or a first timer. Volume is a fan of lashes attached to every single real lash (the size of the fans can vary) they are fluffy and give a darke...r more dramatic look. These are probably our most popular style. Hybrid is a cross between classic and volume, some single lashes scattered between some fans, it looks textured and a little more obvious than the natural set. Mega volume (not pictured here) are our biggest, fluffiest most dramatic lashes and are not for the natural looking girls. They are for the girls who like their lashes on show! 14.01.2022 Theres a perception out there that lash extensions can ruin your real eyelashes, and the truth is they really can if they arent done correctly or you fail to care for them. Damaged lashes means you cant keep wearing extensions and take approx 6 weeks to regrow!Thats the main reason we need infills, because the natural lash the extension is stuck to has shedded and new baby lashes are starting to come though. So heres some tips to maintain healthy lashes: Tip 1: Get infi...lls regularly, it keeps them neat and we can keep an eye on your lash health as part of the service Tip 2: Do not pick or pull at extensions as it pulls the natural lash out prematurely. Instead just brush lashes daily. Tip 3: Use a lash shampoo to keep your lashes clean. Extensions will stick stronger to a clean lash surface, your extensions will last longer and you wont get any nasty build up between your lashes, or even worse get lash mites! (Yes that is a real thing) Tip 4: Be mindful of your lash health when asking for a heavy lash style. If we tell you we cant do thicker or longer, believe us! We dont want your real eyelashes trashed, so please respect our advice and opt for a lighter / shorter lash option Tip 5: Use a lash serum, we sell an amazing product called eyenvy which conditions your lashes and helps them to grow. 12.01.2022 Quick lash lesson.. You may have heard about premade fans or handmade fans. Swipe to see the difference. Handmade fans are what Jordan has always used at Glam R Us. They tend to look more textured. The next pic is Jorjas premade fans. These are easier to work with and look neater. Either way you can achieve a thin or thick style, and the length can be adjusted. Lash extensions are tailor made depending on your natural lashes and the look you are trying to achieve. Ther...e is no wrong or right here, some operators prefer to use one over the other, and some clients prefer one or the other. The good news is, we now offer both in our salon. Volume and mega volume are multiple extensions per lash. Classic extensions can be long or short, curly or more natural, we can still play around with different styles but generally look more natural and for every day wear. This is a great place to start if youve never worn extensions before as they are easy to maintain and often last longer than heavier lash styles

When I started learning lash extensions someone said to me that’s a good hobby but you’ll never make a career out of doing lashes... well I sure showed them! It started as a makeshift salon in my spare room and now we’re here! A beautiful salon, 2 staff members, a laser machine, a sauna and a couple of hundred regular clients. I never imagined we’d get here! Thanks to all our clients, friends and family for your ongoing support that keeps this business alive and thriving!
