21.01.2022 ***GLASSHOUSE IS CLOSING*** It comes with great sadness that we here at Glasshouse have to inform all of you (our lovely friends, artists and patrons) that we are closing our doors due to circumstances out of our control. It came as a shock as weve only been running for 3 months and things were going particularly well. We feel we were only just scratching the surface of what a place like this could mean for the arts/community in Brisbane. We were on a month to month lease w...ith the impression wed be around for a while, unfortunately the space is now being leased for office use. Due to the timeframe weve been given to vacate (June 9th) transitioning into a new space is seeming unlikely at this point but were keeping an ear to the ground just in case, wed ask you to please do the same. The shows this weekend (MNM Presents: Juncture and Waterworks & Belephwants) will be our last in the space you know to be Glasshouse. Wed encourage all those who can, to come visit the space and share in the time we have left. Wed like to send a heartfelt thanks to every single musician who has played in the space, it was made for you. We thank you all for your overwhelming support of the space and for us, we couldnt have undergone such a project without you. Needless to say this isnt the end of our story, this is merely the first chapter. Were taking this time to refocus our efforts onto our work over at MADE NOW MUSIC and continuing to make creative music happen in Brisbane.
