25.01.2022 The Christmas story through the eyes of Year 1 student, Evie. #happychristmas #thefirstchristmas #christmasstory

25.01.2022 We are becoming used to seeing cranes at GCC but there is something mesmorising about watching concrete being poured. Shout out to all the workers who let us film them and do such a great job in the heat and humidity. #ConstructionUpdates #pouringconcrete

25.01.2022 Year 10 drumming in the new year! We are excited about 2021; are you? #NewYear2021#drumminginthenewyear

25.01.2022 Shout out to our wonderful builders who must be doing things tough in this heat and they still manage to send us this fantastic update: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIejPicJ_5I/

25.01.2022 Finally, we would like to present to you our Senior School leaders. GCC is very blessed to have such wonderful students willing and able to contribute to improving the educational journey for their fellow students and helping our community. #leadership #collegeleadership #schoolleadership #captains #collegecaptains

24.01.2022 Middle School students spent a day helping others last week and this group of students chose to help our Ag Farm pack up ready for the school holidays. Good to see they enjoyed a cool-off after hard work in the heat. #communityhelp #kindness #actsofkindness

23.01.2022 GCC skeleton staff thought that the school holidays would be quiet but they were wrong! Can you guess what is being built in this video? It will be worth all the noise when it's finished.

23.01.2022 These beautiful stories have been written and spoken by our Year 1 students. They have done a wonderful job imagining what it must have been like during that first Christmas. We hope you enjoy their stories as much as we did. Thanks to Carolyn Webb for her beautiful artistry on the backdrops.

23.01.2022 Look what arrived in the mail this week! "In the Booth" put together this video for us from the photos taken in the booth at the Year 12 formal. #Year12formal #photobooth #inthebooth

23.01.2022 If you could pick one of these GCC student artworks to sum up 2020, which one would you pick and why? #interpretativeart #art #artinlife

23.01.2022 In case you are doing last minute Christmas shopping and get a hankering for chocolate cake - this is how you shop for it in France!

23.01.2022 Isn't it wonderful that we can now dance? Year 9 students made the most of the eased restrictions dancing the night away at their dinner dance during the last week of term. #dancethenightaway #dinnerdance

22.01.2022 Year 1G had a head start on Boxing Day this year! We can't show you all the photos because that would spoil your Yearbook surprise but here are a few to put you in a Boxing Day mood. #boxingday2020 #boxingdayplay

22.01.2022 A new year reminds us of new life so we kept this very special event for the 1.1.21. Lin Smith writes about it: "We have been so blessed this week in my classroom... I had 5 caterpillars. We dutifully fed them citrus leaves (from inside the Prep area) and then they made their chrysalises and we waited. I prayed the butterflies might emerge before the kids went on holidays. So... we had one Monday, one on Tuesday, one Wednesday and now this one at home today. One to go now. I am in awe of the life cycle! Creator God, you amaze me every time!!"

21.01.2022 Primary students learn how to purchase chocolate cake in French! How cute is this!

21.01.2022 Did you know that today is "Nothing Day"? It was invented by newspaper-columnist Harold Coffin in 1973 and has no purpose or structure, and no particular way of celebrating except to do nothing! Sounds like bliss before the school year begins in earnest. Take some time to 'do nothing' today, even if it can't be all day. What will it look like for you?

21.01.2022 You liked the video of the Science incursion so much we thought we would share the photos. Are you doing any science experiments at home these holidays? #scienceiscool #scienceisfun #sciencerocks #scienceexperimentsforkids

20.01.2022 Precious memories with families. If you want a high-resolution copy to print out, these are all on Pixevety which is accessible by GCC families.

20.01.2022 For those who's plans have been a washout today, you can live vicariously through this video from our Duke of Edinburgh camp. Enjoy! #dukeofedinburgh #greatoutdoors #campinglife https://youtu.be/NSn53LndKQA

19.01.2022 It was so crazy busy at the end of last year that we neglected to share with you our valuable staff who clocked up 10 years working at GCC (even though it was GCCC when all of them began)! #tenyearanniversary #stafftenure #gccstaff

19.01.2022 Worth the wait! Year 6 students enjoyed a camp filled with excitement and adventure!

18.01.2022 GCC Year 9 students know how to bust some moves but, more importantly, they all had a whole lot of fun at their Dinner Dance! Look carefully to see a couple of teachers who couldn't stay off the dance floor!

18.01.2022 Can you guess the Bible character going by the emojis? Hint: they are not in biblical order. Some are easier than others. 16.01.2022 It was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas for Year 6 last week. The students enjoyed a special day together with party bags and fun activities including a scavenger hunt that took them all around the areas of the College that they will need to know for next year in Middle School. They were even treated to one of Mrs Bull's infamous mint Mentos!

16.01.2022 Jakob presents his fabulous design for a bus shelter to the Year 4 Honours Class at GCC.

16.01.2022 A shout out to all of our farmers (including one of our own) who work all year to bring us the high quality produce we enjoy so much. Go Jade! https://fb.watch/2PBNLLOGAE/

16.01.2022 As Christmas approaches, we think of that day When one very special child headed our way. We think of the message He came to proclaim And ask God to help us in Jesus’ name To show, through our actions, that He’s our Messiah;... To share His compassion and Godly desire. The Hope of the world has come Hallelujah! We rejoice as one! See more

They handmade beautiful cards and attached them to the houses and gave some cards to the elderly. We delivered to the Hospital, Police, Nursing Homes, Fire Brigade and The Shack. Everyone was so grateful and could not stop thanking us. This is what Christmas is about! #tistheseasonofgiving #gingerbreadhouses #givingbacktothecommunity

If your pet prefers to stay as nature intended then please ignore this day altogether and just have fun playing together. #DressUpYourPetDay https://www.thefactsite.com/dress-up-your-pet-day/

11.01.2022 The GCC Dance and Drama Academy would like to introduce one of our new teachers for 2021, Tammy McClintock. Tammy is returning to teaching after a 5-year break of staying at home with her two young daughters. She has previously spent 9 years working as a professional dancer and dance captain for various contractors and cruise liners around the world. She has worked with Grayboy Entertainment as a teacher for P&O Cruises in which she primarily taught and installed the producti...on shows on board cruise ships and trained casts. Tammy trained in Tap (NZAMD), Ballet (RAD) and Jazz (NZAMD) dance in Christchurch, NZ then furthered her training at Brent Street studios in Sydney. Tammy started her own dance studio in 2009 MC Elite Dance and established a highly successful dance studio. Due to the earthquakes in Christchurch her family made the difficult decision to sell and move to Brisbane, Australia for a new life. She is very much looking forward to passing on her knowledge to new and excited students. Tammy joins returning Dance and Drama Academy teachers Matt, Olivia and Susie. 09.01.2022 Yum a French Christmas cake! Our Year 3 students decorated and sampled their own Bûche de Noël. They helped to decorate their own traditional French Christmas cake (Yule log) and then used some of the vocabulary learnt to role play purchasing a piece in our pretend French patisserie. It was a fun way to culminate their end of semester unit about food. I’ve challenged our students to make one at home for the family this Christmas by simply purchasing a chocolate sponge roll and decorating it. I pray you will enjoy a blessed and Joyeux Noël. Madame Hammill
