12.01.2022 KWA BOOKKEEPING SERVICE Something we found out about Kristine is that she is a bit of a jokester and tries not to take life too seriously. Kristine’s business name was originally registered as Kristine Warren & Associates. When she moved to Beerwah she abbreviated it to KWA and added Bookkeeping Service to her registered business name. She then let us in on well-kept secret and sent us through a picture of her associate. In Kristine’s words: I only have to pay Lotty in bi...scuits but she does way too much sleeping on the job. When you call Kristine’s office, you get Kristine on the phone. Every one of her clients gets personalised service with a bit of light hearted humour thrown in free of charge. https://issuu.com/glasshousec//edition_25_november_2020/9 KWA Bookkeeping Service See more

05.01.2022 BEERWAH COMMUNITY MEETING PLACE READY IN JUNE The area in front of the Beerwah Library on Peachester Road has been transformed into a work site, and today the Division 1 Councillor, Rick Baberowski and the Assistant Minister for Local Government Nikki Boyd grabbed their ceremonial shovels to celebrate the start of construction. The 1.65 million dollar project will include meeting rooms that can be tailored to suit many purposes, as well as an outdoor meeting room, a ‘green’ a...rcade, a small kitchenette and an integrated link to the Beerwah Library. The building configuration will allow for multiple layout possibilities, ranging from one large communal space to four smaller meeting spaces, through the use of patricians and glazed screen. Cr Baberowski said our community groups have been struggling with the existing one small space or alternative large hall for years, so they will now have many more choices and he is sure the new building will be put to good use. The new facility is being constructed by Sunshine Coast Council thanks to funding from the Palaszczuk Government’s Unite and Recover Community Stimulus Package. See more
04.01.2022 $2 TRIPS FROM PEACHESTER TO BEERWAH Have you tried the Peachester to Beerwah Flexilink transport service? For just $2 residents who live between Peachester and Beerwah can hop on the Sunshine Coast Council’s Flexilink transport service thanks to the council’s transport levy. Unfortunately, passenger numbers on the Peachester to Beerwah service have been declining in recent months. It has to be said that if residents want this service to continue then usage needs to increase... or it may not make reasonable sense for it to continue it’s a case of use it, or lose it, said Division 1 councillor Rick Baberowski. If there’s something council can do to improve the service, Cr Baberowski welcomed residents to contact council on [email protected].
