We also had joining us for a meeting Jeremiah Eadres, we hope to welcome Jeremiah again at our next meeting. Esther Frizzo received the 3 Crowns award presented by Jenny and Suresh. Congratulations Esther. There were 2 interesting speeches from Renate Burnell and Ann Rawlinson, both were the winners. Peter Agapow was the Toastmaster of the day. Ian Hope best Evaluator. 21.01.2022 Thursday 9 July was the change-over meeting of Glasshouse Country Toastmasters, as well as meeting number 400. Complying with the rules it was a low-key affair as not more than 20 people could be invited. However, as the saying goes (what's in the barrel doesn't go sour) We hopefully will have a proper celebration very soon.... There were quite a few highlights at our change-over though. Esther Frizzo, Ian Hope and Renate Burnell all received new badges for finishing the last assignments in their books. Gold for Esther, Silver for Renate and Competent Communicator for Ian. All members are now using Pathways. Every year all club members vote for the Toastmaster of the Year Julie McBurney received this award for the second year in a row. Lesley Gosper was presented with the Most Improved Toastmaster award. Martine Goedhart and Ian Pinker both got an Appreciation award and Peter Agopow the president's award. Congratulations to all of you. Jenny Owens, Moreton Division Director, took care of the changeover, as always in a friendly and professional way. Welcome to the new committee. Esther Frizzo, Ian Hope, Julie McBurney, Martine Goedhart, Ian Pinker, Peter Agapow. CHALLENGE YOURSELF is the motto of this year the committee is determent that all members will reach their full potential. To Tracy Walker, last year’s Area 3 Director, we would like to thank you for the support you have given our club over the past year. Your involvement is very much appreciated and we hope to see you often as a guest at our meetings. We have enough space in our beautiful venue to welcome guests. If you would like to join us for a meeting, we meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 9.00am for a 9.15am start in the Church on the Rise, Beerwah Parade, Beerwah.

20.01.2022 What a great meeting we had again on Thursday 25th of February. The meeting was opened by Peter with one of his many jokes. We followed that up by a ‘Happy Birthday’ to Ann who turned 90. Ann gave a beautiful speech about how she celebrated her 90th birthday. She spent a week at the Gold Coast with her family, visiting many interesting places, the Outback Spectacular show being her favorite. Cynon did the warm-up, we all traveled back in time with her question what age wo...uld you like to revisit again. Ian Hope had us all guessing with his Table Topics by asking us to put a name to the description he gave about some members. Not as easy as it might look, Esther was the only one who got it right about Gregg. It was lovely to see Esther joining our meeting via Zoom. If you would like to be a part of the fun, we meet every second and fourth Thursday of the month, why not join us. You will not be disappointed. See more

12.01.2022 Esther receiving her award from Suresh Nair and Jenny Owens.
