25.01.2022 Project update: Gene Therapy Centre. As promised, here is some more information on a project that will get off the ground this month. We are working with the Tasmanian Eye Institute to give new life to an old redundant water reservoir in Lenah Valley. Currently, the leading cause of blindness in the community is inherited eye disease. The new Gene Therapy Centre will move into the reservoir once construction has finished, in hope of finding a treatment or cure for inherited eye disease, this will be the first facility in Australia that will be solely dedicated to gene-based therapies.
