23.01.2022 Our wonderful team of staff, students and volunteers have worked tirelessly through the Covid-19 pandemic to get food to the homes of children, young people and families. We are very proud of our efforts as we have delivered over 3500 boxes & bags of food to over 130 families...week in week out from March until now. 20.01.2022 #AfterDark did our last week of meal and #COVID19 health information distribution last weekend, since March the program has delivered over 6000 delicious Colombo Social meals to 32 families in #Glebe and the surrounding suburbs, while also assisting the community to cope with issues of isolation and anxiety relating to the pandemic. After Dark will be closed this weekend as we implement our #COVIDSafe Plan, so we can return safely to centre based operations on Friday the 13th November #Youthwork #Community #Connected #Safe

In line with the programs COVID Safe Plan, After Dark will be open for teens only with a capacity of 32 young people - we are hoping to welcome back all of community on Saturday nights and have an increased capacity in 2021 ... As the Covid situation has eased, we have moved the program back to a centre-based pick up out the front of the building. 12.01.2022 Glebe Youth Service has continued to provide fresh fruit and vegetables to over 120 families each week right through out the Covid crisis. We have been able to do this with the support of the wonderful Harris Farm Markets, SecondBite, OzHarvest City of Sydney and many more partner and supporters. We want to shout to our fabbo volunteers @Jadawhyman @Kasper and @Leticia. We also want to introduce our wonderful new social work student interns Beatrix and Bridie from Western S...ydney University. We also want to acknowledge Megan and Dorothy the 'Glebe Curbside Drop Offsiders' who ensure that elderly and isolated people are also receiving a weekly box of healthy goodness. Over the past 4 months we have delivered over 1000 boxes of healthy fruit and vegetables to those people impacted by Covid19. 06.01.2022 In the last three months #AfterDark has delivered 2398 delicious Colombo Social meals, 248 boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables from Harris Farm Markets and COVID-19 health information to 32 families in #Glebe. & while we're looking forward to running After Dark as a centre based program once again, this will not happen till we can ensure it can be done safely, so until then we'll be on streets of Glebe every Friday and Saturday night spreading the love <3 After Dark is proudly brought to you by City of Sydney.
