23.01.2022 Presenting the 2020 New South Wales Rugby League Challenge Cup winners! First trophy in 93 years. Huge congratulations to coach Aaron Zammit, captain Jackson Garlick and the entire playing roster and coaching staff. To win the tittle was impressive, but to beat Wenty 53-16 to do it was a remarkable effort. Thanks to everyone who cheered us on at Henson and on the live stream! We hope the first of many titles!

21.01.2022 The Dirty Reds Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership pre-season is well and truly underway. In just a few short weeks we’ve recruited a very talented group of women who in 2021 will make history by becoming our first ever senior female side. We can’t wait to watch it all happen. A big thank you to Miguel and the team at Sydney Portugal Community Club Limited for having us at their incredible Fraser Park Stadium facility this morning. Good luck ladies!

19.01.2022 It’s on. This Saturday, the Dirty Reds will play their old rivals - and fellow foundation club - North Sydney Bears in an elimination semi-final blockbuster for a spot in the Presidents Cup Grand Final. We need the Dirty Red Army out in force at Leichhardt to cheer the boys on to victory so make sure you’re there! The NSWRL will confirm ticket details in the next 24 hours and we’ll update you here.

19.01.2022 Sadly, the boys came up agonisingly short against Maitland yesterday, losing the Presidents Cup grand final 17-16. The club couldn’t have been prouder of the effort, not just yesterday but all season. This will hurt for a while, but when the dust settles we’ll reflect on the club’s best season since our revival in 2017 and arguably since 1922. We feel privileged to have had this group of players at the club and hope to see plenty of them back in 2021. For those who move onto ...bigger and better things, you go with our best wishes and thanks. Once you’re a Dirty Red, you’re a Dirty Red for life! Thanks to all of our supporters. You’ve been amazing all year and the players really appreciate your support. And a special thanks to our coach Aaron Zammit and his staff for the countless hours they’ve put in - and to all of our fantastic volunteers who make it all happen each week. Here’s to going one better in 2021! See more

15.01.2022 This football club has had some terrific moments since our revival in 2016, but it’s hard to top the feeling of introducing a generation of young boys and girls from Glebe to the unadulterated joy of playing rugby league. Here they are this morning playing Holy Cross Rhinos. Their improvement over the season has been amazing as evidenced by today’s outstanding performance. They are a credit to the club and we are very proud of them. Nothing happens without volunteers and we’ve got some of the best, so to coach James, manager Caitlin and all the parents and helpers, we say a huge thank you. Keep it up everyone and go the Dirty Reds!!!!

14.01.2022 Happy birthday to our skipper Jackson Garlick who turns 27 today. Jackson has led the Dirty Reds for four seasons now has re-signed for a fifth in 2021! We’re lucky to have him at the club. To celebrate we thought we’d post one of our favourite pics of 2020 of Jackson lifting the NSWRL Challenge Cup - our first piece of silverware in 93 years! Happy birthday Garlo! Hope it’s a good one.

13.01.2022 Just over 24 hours until the Dirty Reds take on Maitland in the grand final of the 2020 Presidents Cup. They’ll be looking to go one better than the 1922 side which lost the grand final to Norths or the 1911 minor premiership winning side which lost the decider to Easts. When the boys run out tomorrow they’ll have 112 years of history on their side as they look to write their names in the history books alongside the likes of Burge, McKivat and Gray. We’ve waited a long time for this. Can’t wait to see the Dirty Red jerseys run out onto BankWest tomorrow. Let’s do it boys!

11.01.2022 The Dirty Reds would like to welcome Jacob Gagai to the club. Jacob started the year with the Rabbitohs and had previously played NSW Cup for Newcastle. He will make his Dirty Red debut against Hills this afternoon. If you can’t make it to Crestwood Oval to watch the game, you can view the live stream (with commentary) here New South Wales Rugby League on the NSWRL Facebook page, Big game for the boys so don’t miss it!

08.01.2022 We can’t wait to pay tribute to the Hairy Bloke Chris McKivat at Henson Park tomorrow. Glebe legend, captain of the Wallabies & Kangaroos and two-time North Sydney premiership winking coach. He died in 1947, and in his final years would have given up hope of seeing his two teams do battle ever again. Tomorrow, the seemingly impossible will happen when the Dirty Reds and the Bears do battle in a regular season game for the first time in more than 90 years. We revived the club to remember the contribution of people like Chris and tomorrow as the two teams run out, we will be thinking of the Hairy Bloke. Kick-off is at 3. See you at Henson.

07.01.2022 If you can’t make it to Henson, but you’d like to watch today’s game visit the New South Wales Rugby League Facebook page to watch a live stream or the Challenge Cup final between the Dirty Reds and Wentworthville. https://m.facebook.com/NSWRL/

07.01.2022 The big day has arrived. The Directors have taken their positions at BankWest. The boys are pumped and ready to go. Kick-off at 3.30. If you can’t make it, you can watch the game here New South Wales Rugby League . Go the Dirty Reds!

07.01.2022 The great Benny Elias has given The Immortal Pale Ale the big thumbs up! Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think. And remember, every beer sold will provide financial support to the Glebe Dirty Reds in season 2021. To purchase, click here https://willietheboatman.com//glebe-reds-immortal-pale-ale

07.01.2022 We’re back at Henson this Sunday afternoon as the Dirty Reds take on Wentworthville Magpies in the final of the New South Wales Rugby League Challenge Cup. The match is also doubling as our third round match of the Presidents Cup. The boys are on a high after Saturday’s win over Norths and will be chomping at the bit to secure the club’s first trophy since 1927. Sunny skies are forecast, the bars will be open and the footy will be free flowing so come on down to Henson and cheer the Reds onto victory!

05.01.2022 If you’re coming down to Leichhardt tomorrow to cheer on the Dirty Reds in their elimination semi-final clash with Norths, you’re strongly encouraged to pre-book your tickets online to ensure you can get in. We’re shouting for our first grade final since reforming in 2017 and our first top-team appearance in a decider since 1922, so we need your support! Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.123tix.com.au/events//nswrl-preliminary-finals

05.01.2022 What a fantastic afternoon at Henson Park this afternoon. The Dirty Reds turned in an amazing performance, particularly in defence, to defeat the top-of-the-table Maitland Pickers 26-24 in the final round of the Presidents Cup. Aaron Zammit’s men have now sealed second spot on the ladder and booked themselves a finals date with third placed North Sydney at Leichhardt next Saturday at 4pm. Thanks to everyone who turned out to cheer the side on, not only today, but in all of our home matches this season. Thanks also to all of our volunteers who made the home matches possible. And a special thanks to the under 7s dirty reds - the future of our club - who turned out to support the big boys today. See everyone at Leichhardt on Saturday as the Dirty Reds shoot for a place in the Presidents Cup grand final.

04.01.2022 Introducing our latest signing, Taleena Simon! Yes, the Dirty Reds have started a women’s team and have received conditional entry into the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership. Taleena is a Roosters NRLW player and a NSW origin representative. We’re proud to have a player of her calibre at the club. She is the first of many signings the club will announce in the coming weeks. If you’re interested in playing for the Dirty Reds women’s side, contact us @ [email protected] We’re also pleased to announce the signing of former Dragons, Wentworthville and Asquith centre Eli Roberts for our Ron Massey side. Making the signings even more exciting, is the fact both Taleena and Eli are Glebe locals! Welcome aboard guys!

03.01.2022 Big game coming up for the Dirty Reds in Dubbo on Sunday afternoon. And it seems the local league reporter is a fan of the Bachelor in Paradise! Big game for Aaron Zammit’s men after last week’s loss to Hills. They’ll be keen to bounce back to ensure they remain in the top four. Score updates on our twitter page.

03.01.2022 We’re back in the ‘Gong this afternoon for our round 7 Presidents Cup clash with Thirroul Butchers. Kick-off is 3.10pm at Gibson Park. 03.01.2022 The Dirty Reds women’s team had their final training session of 2020 at Fraser Park yesterday. Among the new signings in attendance were Sarah-Jane Gunderson, Ella Simon and Eliza Wilson (all pictured in Dirty Red below). Welcome ladies! We will announce further signings in the coming days and weeks so stay tuned. We’ve come a long way in the past six weeks & can’t wait for 2021. We’re still recruiting - so if you’re keen to have a run, get in touch. We’re particularly on the look out of forwards (middles and backrowers). If you’re keen to make history with the Dirty Reds next season email [email protected]

02.01.2022 If your business is interested in supporting the Glebe Dirty Reds next season, email [email protected] and we’ll send you a copy of our brand new 2021 partnership proposal. We’ve got plenty of great packages to suit every budget.

02.01.2022 Next Sunday, this group of men will be aiming to become the first Dirty Reds team in history to win a (top grade) premiership. Yesterday, they beat North Sydney 26-6 at Leichhardt to advance to the club’s first decider since 1922 where they will attempt to do what greats like Burge, McKivat and Gray were sadly never able to do and win that elusive title. The Maitland Pickers stand in our way. The grand final will take place at 330pm next Sunday at BankWest Stadium. We need all the support we can get, so get your tickets now and help cheer the 2020 Dirty Reds onto an historic premiership victory! https://m.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx
