22.01.2022 When you shop at Glebe Hill Village you'll be able to view plenty of useful info on the building dashboard. It will display real time data on the number of people in the centre, the solar energy that has been generated, the consumption of power, water and gas throughout the centre, the air quality inside, and even when the next bus is coming! We aim to make your shopping experience as smooth as possible for you.

22.01.2022 Very excited to announce that we've just appointed our public art team from Cultural Capital. We've worked with them a lot and they do some great stuff (like this image)! We'll be looking to have something significant created by a Tasmanian artist at Glebe Hill Village. First steps for the team is to determine a shortlist of the best areas of the centre that could accommodate some art before compiling a long list of possible artists. Not sure if we'll end up with a sculpture, painting, mural, digital art or what, but I’m excited to get it underway! Stay tuned will keep you in the loop.

21.01.2022 New Logo - we have had our designers update the winning logo to make it less like WW and more like Coles colours... I hope you like it! What do you think? This is a low res scan - I couldn't wait for a better copy!

21.01.2022 Great news - we'll be incorporating renewable energy sources into Glebe Hill Village! There'll also be continuous monitoring of air quality throughout the centre and of the outdoor environmental conditions. Not to mention the tracking of energy efficiency - including how much electricity, water and gas are generated and consumed by Glebe Hill Village.... The bathrooms will allow for a contactless experience and water usage will be monitored in the hand basins, toilets and urinals. ... There'll also be a duress alarm in each bathroom connected to the security office (in case of any issues). *Note that this image is a sample only - there will be cubicle doors and the temperatures shown are examples only.

15.01.2022 Great to have such engagement on last nights post I missed you guys! I guess not everyone shares my enthusiasm for McD and jobs which is totally fine! Actually great to see that people care and are willing to express an opinion. Some very funny comments in there as well as some serious ones. 11.01.2022 Pound for pound nothing beats McDonalds for job creation even though it is only 420m2 in size it will employ around 120 people in a mix of roles whilst the main centre is over 10x that size and generates another 250 jobs. We all need McDonalds to get approved they have such a great focus on youth training and management experience. When McDonald’s staff move beyond the trading floor and into management roles, their senior executives are highly sought after by other companies as their internal leadership programs are world class. We will have job workshops with all retailers as we get closer to opening. Without McDonalds, the centre doesn’t stack up and we don’t start construction...

06.01.2022 Poorly researched article in the Mercury today... Coles have not withdrawn from Glebe Hill Village - we are still working very closely with them! I wish the Mercury had just called me rather than quoting unnamed sources from Coles!

05.01.2022 Not much to report, sorry everyone - pretty dull week in terms of news! Close to agreeing a pharmacy deal for a GREAT chemist, getting close on cafe as well! Just waiting on council to assess our development application shortly - a few objections from Shoreline which are a bit of a try on, but not unexpected! Stay tuned and have a great weekend!

02.01.2022 Very Bad news everybody... Unfortunately Coles have not approved the new store at Glebe Hill... This came through last week... Rather than opening any new stores at the moment, Coles has made a decision to focus on their existing 16 stores in Tasmania. This will mean that Glebe Hill is unfortunately delayed for some time until this position changes. This is obvious a big disappointment for all of us in the project. We have had such great support from the community, Council ...and other retailers wanting to be part of the project. Thank you all for the great community support, I know you are all very keen to see it proceed. I still believe in the project very much and would hope it will be revived in the near future. We intend to put the project on ice for a year or so before revisiting it... Sorry...
