17.01.2022 We glee folk have a pretty special connection to this coffee. Bandar Jaya made up 50% of the blend that won us the Golden Bean Coffee Roasting Comp in 2019! We called the blend ‘Walk’n on Sunshine’ and we feel all the happy feels drinking it! Located in Gayo Highland, Bener Meriah the heart of the coffee production region in Sumatra, this coffee includes varieties of bourbon and Ateng Super. It’s a natural process, which is pretty rare for the region as it is wet most of the... year. Getting enough sun to conduct the drying process in this climate proves to be a difficult task, so this coffee has been the result of much experimentation, made with love and care. We love this coffee coz: It’s a standout (the Golden Bean roasting comp judges would agree) It’s also made by our neighbours, which is pretty special. Southern Hemisphere locals for the win! 04.01.2022 When the world is wild, we are the wildflowers. This is one of the mantras of our @wildflowerespresso family which popped up during the first instalment of COVID craziness. These guys have become an institution for the community of Wallsend + beyond.. if you haven’t visited yet, you haven’t experienced the kindness of these strangers, (who quickly become friends), or the mildly creepy passion they have for baked goods not to mention their merch game, which is some of ...the best we’ve ever seen.. (eco-conscious apparel with a message of kindness) Plus, of COURSE the coffee is always good. Batch brew, single origin, espresso, beans for home. We are so very happy to know these folks.

04.01.2022 One of our all-time favourite coffees.. this Costa Rican family have been in the coffee biz for over 200 years. Alejo Castro is a 5th generation coffee dude & this guy knows his stuff. Volcan Azul is a natural (sundried) process, grown between 1400-1700m attitude. This fella has melony tropical notes, dropping just in time to get us in the mood for summer. Our man DJ has roasted this for both espresso & filter applications.
