23.01.2022 One of our guests asked yesterday "Have you ever had a wedding on the site?" Well, not exactly a wedding, but here are some more photos of the "elopement"....!

21.01.2022 Our first tour for the year. Thanks to Kathy and Ken and family, from the Hartley Bush Fire Brigade for starting us off! And especially to you and all the other brigades that came to our valley to help out with the Gospers Mt Fire. We are all so grateful.

17.01.2022 We're having westerly winds so there isn't as much smoke in the valley and there will be a tour this weekend. Coorongooba campground is still closed due to the fire, but the Glen Davis campground is open at this stage.

17.01.2022 Brrr..... a bit nippy for a photo shoot yesterday- but the results were worth it! Congratulations to Rami and Tamara on their marriage and for some really original wedding photos!

15.01.2022 Smokey valley! Just to let everyone know there will be no tour today (and the Coorongooba camp ground is closed) due to the Gospers Mountain bushfire...

15.01.2022 The front gate at "The Poplars" where we meet up. Thank you Jordan Allison for your photos! ( jordanallisondop.com) The Oct 3 tour is full; however, due to popular demand, Graeme will take a second tour on Sunday Oct 4 at 10am. We've just had a cancellation and have spaces for 7 more people. Tours must be prebooked - email is best!

14.01.2022 No tour due to fires and road closures...

12.01.2022 thanks for the great photos David

12.01.2022 Thanks to Deb & Cheryl who came on the tour last week. Their grandmother Rita Lay originally lived in Bagtown and ran the single men's hostel. This photo is of the fruit tree that she planted when she was living there! Their grandfather, Jack Lay was a shale miner . Deb & Cheryl gave us 200 photos that their mum, Shirley, took with her box brownie when the works were in operation - so watch this space for some great, unique photos of the era!

07.01.2022 No tours at the moment due to bushfire
