08.01.2022 Today we had to say goodbye to a great mate of ours, Mitch Blackmore. A nicer bloke you will not find, a true gentleman, with a passion for his cows and a love for his family like no other. Mitch was an absolute Champion bloke and spent a lot of time at Glen Echo, spanning back some 25 years when he began a work experience stint. For a kid coming from the middle of Brisbane, Mitch found out very quickly country and more so the Jersey cow was where his heart belonged. Mitch h...elped get our cows out for many years, including our 2014 Ekka campaign where he couldn't join us in the photo for Supreme cow because he'd already legged it to the Cattlemans bar to celebrate! Sadly at the young age of 40, Mitch was taken all too soon, our thoughts are with his wife Renee and his children Carly, Harrison and Lawson, Mitch's parents and brother's Stuart and Cameron

Brisbane Royal Show 2018 Not only did Glen Echo take home Champion Cow Honours with Glen Echo Celebrity Suzette, we also had the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Best Udder class, Intermediate champion, Honourable Mention Senior champion and Honourable Mention Intermediate and what we consider one of our greatest achievements to date, we won 5 in milk classes in a row! ... 1st Milking Yearling - Glen Echo David Megan and Honourable Mention Intermediate 1st Junior 2 - Glen Echo David GN Connie 1st Senior 2 - Glen Echo GN Darcy and Intermediate Champion 1st 3 Year Old - Glen Echo Celebrity Suzette Champion Cow and Best Udder 1st 4 Year Old - Hot shot EXD Muriel 2nd Best Udder, Bred and Owned by The Tippett family, Housed at Glen Echo Jerseys We did not exhibit in the 5 and 6 Year Old Classes, but we had a farm favourite come out in the aged cow! 1st Aged Cow - Glen Echo Pablo Roberta 3rd Best Udder and HM Cow milking over 300 days An enormous thank you to our incredible crew of people who work tirelessly at home to ensure our cows look as well as they do all year round, not just show day! Intermediate Champion Jersey Supreme Intermediate Udder Supreme Intermediate QLD State Feature Show 2017 Honoured for Lady to come out on top in an extremely strong show of Jerseys at the Gatton Showcase under judge Wayne Kuhne of Bushlea Jerseys. Thanks to the organisers of a fantastic show and congratulations to the Jersey breed taking home all 3 individual Supreme titles!
