19.01.2022 Dear all, This Friday 26th July at 7.00pm the Local Footy Show on C31 will be showing footage from the 1982 Grand Final against East Hawthorn on their Golden Age of Footy segment. Whilst this was an unfortunate loss it is footage that most of us have not witnessed since that fateful day. The show is replayed again at 9.00am the next day (Saturday).

John also passed over several records of games played complete with team lists, results and even the umpires reports. Stay tuned as I will be posting some of these here. Thanks for your valuable contribution John!

16.01.2022 I was hoping to get a finer looking model to showcase our latest instalment of memorabilia in the form of the training jacket complete with sponsor on the back, but alas we had to settle for our very own Tom Burney! Impressive that he can still dress to impress!

13.01.2022 I have just received a (approx.) 100 page document detailing a complete history of the leagues that Glen Iris has competed in since 1925. It comes complete with every game ever played. This will be available to view at our reunion luncheon on November 29th. A big thank you to the historian of the SESFL, Mr Ross McCulloch.
12.01.2022 Today was meant to be the day for our annual golf day which had been rescheduled not once, not twice but three times and as luck would have it the heavens opened up and dumped over 70mm of rain on the deck overnight. The good news is though we have rescheduled, stay tuned for further posts
12.01.2022 Herewith a very rare and original monogram of the footy club. The original colours were purple and gold. This little gem came from a blazer worn by a Mr Fred Ford (Treasurer) during the 1950s. Thank you to Bill Latham for sending this through.

08.01.2022 A group of 18 players braved the windy conditions at Keysborough Golf Club today in the annual past players day. But it was a 3-peat for the team of Ross, Syd, Jim and John Bennet today who embarrassed the field by winning comfortably (again). Many thanks to john Collett who arranged the day.
08.01.2022 Today caught up with a historian for the SESFL who kindly donated this record from 1965. This was a winning premiership year and judging by the some of the comments most felt that we would win by some margin. Hope you enjoy reading this.
