19.01.2022 Nothing else really to add to this.... An absolute DISGRACE! Our nations leaders need to stand up and call this global religious leader out for his victim shaming.

19.01.2022 As a foreigner, I am humbled by the level of trust and recognition bestowed by the RI Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (Indonesian National Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection) for inviting me to represent Yayasan Project Karma Indonesia - YPKI, along with 3 other Indonesian frontline organisations, ECPAT Indonesia, Yayasan Sejiwa and Yayasan Peduli Sahabat, to address the Indonesian media at a scheduled National Press Conference via Zoom this Friday 17th of July. A proud moment for Project Karma and an amazing opportunity to draw awareness to the issues of child sexual exploitation, highlight the successes of Project Karma's Sentinel Model and help create long term change in Indonesia.

15.01.2022 Queenslanders, please remember this at your next State election... A major slap in the face to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation and as Derryn Hinch would likely say, SHAME, SHAME, SHAME - on Queensland Labor. Project Karma will continue lobbying all State and Territory Governments until ALL fall in line with the Australian Department of Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton MP’s fully funded plan for a national public child sex offender register in Australia.... Such a system WILL help to protect children in Australia from harm. Victoria is currently considering such a State register, which you can provide a public submission to the Parliamentary Committee Inquiry with your point of view here: https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/lsic-lc/article/4324 I strongly believe that parents, carers, teachers, sporting clubs and many other institutions of child involvement, have a right to know if any person known to them, could be a danger to any child in their care and I believe that there should be a transparent, auditable, Government managed system for them to be able to do so. The Australian Government believes so too, which is why they have set aside $7.8M to facilitate it, if every State and Territory Government puts the safety of children first, makes this issue a priority and creates the legislation required to accomodate the Federal Government’s proposed plan. Annastacia Palaszczuk MP’s Queensland Government has failed in this regard and I truly hope that Queensland voters will let them know about it at the next State election. #wehavearighttoknow #publicregister #projectkarma #SaveOurChildren

12.01.2022 Earlier this year I received one of the nicest invitations to speak at a conference and I happily accepted. Unfortunately thanks to the global pandemic, this presentation, as with others that I had booked in pre Corona Virus, could not go ahead, but (thankfully) the Convention has proceeded virtually through Podcast platform. My 45 minute discussion, recorded a few weeks ago will be broadcast this Tuesday on most streaming services as AMSA AMPOULE and you can keep an eye out for it on the Project Karma Facebook page. I am honoured to be able to share my thoughts and experiences in combatting child sexual exploitation in our society with the future Medical Practioners of Australia through the AMSA: Australian Medical Students' Association 2020 National Convention.

09.01.2022 If you have questions about your child’s online safety during COVID19 restrictions, you can contact Project Karma on Messenger.

09.01.2022 Thank you to the AMSA: Australian Medical Students' Association for the opportunity to bring awareness of child sexual exploitation crimes, the work of Project Karma in combatting these crimes globally and the role of the medical fraternity in Australia to assist in the prevention, intervention and recovery for child victims, at the AMSA National Convention Melbourne 2020. My discussion is now available for streaming on most Podcast platforms. 07.01.2022 This a great watch for parents, teachers, carers and kids over 13 to help educate on the dangers to children’s safety online. Big thanks to VJ Daniel Mananta for our Instagram LIVE a few weeks back which has had over 123,000 views on Yayasan Project Karma Indonesia - YPKI’s Facebook page. You can catch it here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/-Ub9wkM0BaU

02.01.2022 Well done to the teams at ACCCE, AFP and relevant state JACETs

01.01.2022 I’m glad to be able to talk about this case now. https://apple.news/Apgk8lq19TZKwEX5JMsoInQ Congratulations to Erin Parke at ABC News for her investigative journalism and to the Western Australia Police Force, Australian Federal Police and the Attorney-General's Department for their prompt action and willingness to collaborate externally to achieve a common goal.... This arrest is a great example of law enforcement agencies cooperating with non government organisations and media outlets to achieve a successful outcome. We await the process of extradition and hope that Mr. Batham is back on Australian soil soon to face the allegations against him. The path to justice for victims has only just begun as the Italian court system is notoriously slow but we will continue to monitor progress and update everyone via Project Karma’s page as developments occur.
