25.01.2022 SAVAGNIN Only 580 bottles made of this beauty and currently on tasting in the cellar door for the next few weeks. hand picked - 300 vines - wild barrel ferment - honeydew melon - green pear - lime zest... A variety with a case of mistaken identity, Savagnin Blanc was originally imported into Australia under the belief it was Albarino. We love this happy accident as this wine always surprises us with incredible minerality and texture, the ultimate seafood wine

25.01.2022 Ate too much for lunch you can't squeeze in any more of that Christmas pudding? Let our Cane Cut hit the spot! Hand-harvested cane cut fruit (dehydrated 15%) was combined with fresh Sauvignon blanc fruit + left to rehydrate in the press overnight. The juice was pressed to 500l/tonne, resembling nectar. Fermentation in stainless steel with ferment arrested at 7 Baume residual. Order online www.glenartyroad.com.au... #dessertwine #canecut #goodtimesatglenarty

22.01.2022 Today we harvested our garlic planted by Chef Scotty. Being ginger himself, he is well suited to team up with garlic. We will let the garlic dry on our wool table prior to plaiting it to hang. #garlic #gardening #innovation

22.01.2022 One of our favourite times of the year at the farm is upon us again, tomato season! If you have joined us for lunch or a sneaky tasting lately you would have seen our bountiful tomato crop out the front that has been loving the warmer days lately. How can you beat freshly picked salad of juicy tomatoes and basil and a glass of Fume Blanc? #goodtimesatglenarty #australiassouthwest #farmlife

20.01.2022 ... it feels too early to be thinking about Christmas! We are grabbing the opportunity in December to take a step back + put our feet up this Christmas. 20.01.2022 Glenarty Road is a fifth-generation family farm in the southern Margaret River region. Our cellar door and restaurant has become a destination for those seeking an honest, wholesome, paddock to plate dining experience. Our menu takes advantage of our farm-raised grass-fed meats as well as what is fresh and ready in the garden. The food we are known for is a reflection of life on the farm, following the seasons and the changes that come with them. We're looking for a like-mind...ed to join a small but passionate team as a hospitality all-rounder. Friday to Sunday with the opportunity for extra shifts for the right person. Experience helps - but a great attitude, motivation to learn and efficiency will be rewarded with a diverse role and great people to work for. Immediate start is available. To apply please email: [email protected]

18.01.2022 Glenarty Road is on the hunt for our next kitchen-hand gun to assist our creative chefs. The role will entail general kitchen prep and washing dishes. We pride ourselves on having a great working environment where we look forward to coming to work each day. Successful applicants will be available Friday - Sunday, be motivated and interested in our paddock to plate philosophy. Immediate start available.

17.01.2022 Old McDonald spun us a yarn today. He told us it has been 60 years since there were piglets this little on the farm. Around the time he was 15 it was common for farms like this to all have their own pigs to feed off the skim milk, a by product from making and selling cream. Since then we have used pigs to rotationally graze paddocks on the farm, prepare veggie beds, and more recently take cafe of food waste from the restaurant, but have not raised them from birth ourselves. As a result we have landed with the runt of the litter, pictured here with Peter. Looks like the little girl is fitting in quite nicely! #seriouslysustainable #farmlife #goodtimesatglenarty

16.01.2022 Our new season zucchinis are hitting the menu. Lightly charred on our open flame + then teamed up with our house-made ricotta on toast. This is a rewarding + satisfying dish on our Graze menu. Today, in this gentle spring sunshine we’ve paired it with our Kerfuffle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon. ... Thursday + Monday are the days to sit, relax, graze + sip.

15.01.2022 Today a new group of farmworkers arrived. They have come from QLD + luckily for us didn't need to quarantine! They may be small but they've got a pretty big job to do. These little critters arrived from Bugs for Bugs. The business specialises in integrated pest management + is a leading supplier of biological control agents. Their goal is to help Australian growers achieve best practice pest management with minimal pesticides. The two types we needed were Cryptolaemus, The M...ealybug Destroyer + Chilocorus to fight scale. We received both adult + larva Cryptolaemus, so the adults will go straight to work to fight off the Mealybugs by hunting them + in a week or so the larva will hatch + be ready to join the fight. The beetles have a lifecycle of 4-7 weeks. The other kind we got were Chilocorus, they will help deal with the scale by laying their eggs beneath the cover of scale insects + when they hatch after ten or so days they eat the scale cover. It is so cool to imagine these little soldiers fighting our vineyard battles! This initiative means that our vines will grow healthily + produce even more exceptional fruit for next years vintage.

15.01.2022 Here at Glenarty Road, we take selecting our glassware very seriously. #workingdog

15.01.2022 The cellar door + restaurant may be closed but work on the farm kicks on. Our eldest son Archer has finished high school + is home on the farm for a year or so. He is straight back into being a country kid. #fatherandson #familyfarm #sheepwork

12.01.2022 Our 2020 wines have started to be released, as exciting as it is sometimes it’s just as rewarding to go back and visit old friends. #chardonnay #oldfriends

12.01.2022 Tasting wines + telling stories is how we love to connect. By telling the tales of our farm + how we make our small-batch wine we hope to engage with you enough so when you crack a bottle at home you remember the laugh! We send Australia wide so, if you're lucky enough to be visiting from interstate we can have our wine on your doorstep for your arrival home! #margretriver #gtwine #goodtimesatglenarty

11.01.2022 There seems that there are a few thirsty snakes around at the moment. This sly character was spotted slithering around our 2020 Karridale Cuvée. We're anticipating the arrival of our 2019 Cuvée + are crossing our fingers this slippery one hasn't already found that too!

11.01.2022 You may want a happy snap with your latest catch, Head Chef Joaquin wanted a snap with our garlic haul! We have had a ripper of a crop this year + are already using the new garlic in our dishes.. #farmtotable #paddocktoplate #freshlypicked

10.01.2022 Pepper has spent the past 10 days missing all of the extra pats! Longingly wanting some extra attention, luckily for her, after a beautiful Christmas, we are back causing a Kerfuffle as of tomorrow. Cellar Door | 10 - 5 Restaurant | 11:30 - 3 (bookings essential)... www.glenartyroad.com.au #goodtimesatglenarty #causeakerfuffle

09.01.2022 This season's zucchinis aren't too far off being ready. This season we have planted the majority of our crop as the Lebanese variety. We thought we'd try a slightly different variety this year. Previously, we have had predominantly the Black Beauty kind. The Lebanese Zucchini is a paler green, not as uniformed in shape and has a sweeter flavour. The warmer days are starting to deliver the new season vegetables and we are here for it!

06.01.2022 This is Ben’s latest heggendary innovation! Max was ok with letting his dad use his truck to ensure our Buxus hedge is level + looking it’s best! #punny #gardentips #gardening #hedging

06.01.2022 Vintage 2021 has officially kicked off with our first pick of Pinot Noir for Sparkling base. A little perk of this lockdown meant that we could pull the chefs, the cellar door crew and front of house gems altogether with our farm crew to get the job done in style. 01.01.2022 Bean there, done that. Our bean crop is coming to the end + the kitchen team took a moment after service to jump in to harvest the final beans. We’ve had a ripper of a crop! What will we be planting there next? You will have to wait and see! ... #punny #gardening #farmtotable
