25.01.2022 JUNE "When I last posted some notes, the branches of the trees were bare, the sleet was coming down and there wasn't a midge in sight. A couple of frenetic months have passed since then, with a glorious and prolonged spring seeing the garden burst into life. Every day since then has seen a step forward until last week, when the clouds of midges ascended, and work has almost ground to a halt. 14.01.2022 Hosta's seem to be doing particularly well in this area this year - admire a lovely range at Glenborrodale.

07.01.2022 Currently busy getting out and about to all the local produce sales. Acharacle yesterday, Lochaline next Thursday and Arisaig on the 25th. Always something lovely currently in flower on offer!

05.01.2022 Clematis are one of the highlights of this time of year - there are lots of varieties to be appreciated at Glenborrodale, and if you're lucky, there might be one available to take home!

01.01.2022 Here in Lochaber we've been (hopefully only temporarily) beaten back from our gardens by rain and midges. While it benefits from a good long drink, we have time to plan what comes next!
