24.01.2022 Alcuin safely arrived at Dunstaffnage Marina on Tuesday 18th August! Mike Bowley put in 2 weeks hard work to prepare Alcuin for the season and the MCA inspection. Debbie and Chris then joined Mike to complete the preparations for the RYA inspection. We set sail early evening on Saturday 15th stopping off at Lochranza (Arran) and Otter Ferry (Loch Fyne) before being joined by Gordon and Jane Roy at Ardrishaig to help us take Alcuin through the Crinan Canal. Finally, after a stop over at Craobh Marina, Alcuin took up her new berth at Dunstaffnage.

21.01.2022 At a time when we may struggle with the circumstances that we can find ourselves in with the current pandemic environment its is good to remember that the light of the Lord is always with us, even in these difficult times. It reminds me of Psalm 23: The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. So attached is a photo of a cross on St Cuthberts island at Holy Island as a reminder of his light and his purpose. Please keep safe and well.

18.01.2022 We are delighted to share that the Centre now has its own yacht, opening up more opportunities for us to develop our yachting activity on the West Coast. Yacht Alcuin is a 38-foot Westerly Oceanranger, previously operated by fellow charity Westward Quest, whose trustees recently determined that their work would come to an end and decided that we are best placed to make good use of their assets going forward. An exciting time for us!

11.01.2022 We are taking this opportunity to share how spring has been bringing the outdoor centre garden to life in this series of images. With the extra time to garden we have now completed the compost, made some new raised fruit and veg beds and are enjoying watching the seedlings grow and listening to the birds sing!
