19.01.2022 Earlier this week we were lucky enough to have Borroloola local, Westfield W-League Sydney FC Women player and Vice-captain for the Young Westfield Matildas, Shadeen Shay Evans join our McArthur River Mine NAIDOC Week celebrations. It was a really enjoyable evening and a huge thanks to Shay for coming down. Evans grew up in what is described as one of the most isolated areas of the NT, Borroloola. Her early days were spent learning how to hunt goanna, kangaroo and fish with... her dad from the time she was five. Her achievements and story shows that talent in remote communities can thrive and be successful on the big stage. #NAIDOC2020
