09.01.2022 Competitors and keen campers flocked to the Gregory River for the Labour Day long weekend for the much-anticipated return of the famed Canoe Marathon. The Gregory River Canoe Marathon attracts both novice and serious competitors who travel to the idyllic camping stop to tackle the rapids and test their skills against the river. Mount Isa Mines is proud to be a long-time sponsor of this fun filled event, which has long been a staple for our communities.
08.01.2022 Ernest Henry Mining is proud to have supported the annual James Henry Scott Town v Country ANZAC Day twenty20 cricket match. The day kicked off with an eight-a-side local cricket competition before talented Queensland Fire members led a coaching clinic for budding young cricketers. All the virtues of mateship, courage and fairness were on display in the main event when the Town v Country cricketers battled hard on the green.... A great community day commemorating all those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
