If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity please follow the attached instructions provided by Subway. As mentioned, please email [email protected] if you have any questions or queries. Allergen and nutritional guides are available for viewing at the office. Yours Sincerely, Sam Marshall on behalf of Janna McKenzie, Gemma Donnelly and Fran Smyth Glen Dhu Primary School

13.01.2022 WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL DAY Now in its 21st year, National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is an annual event when all Primary School children in Australia are encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. This year the event will be held throughout Australia on Friday September 11th. All information can found at: walk.com.au... The objectives of WSTSD are: To encourage parents and carers to walk to school with primary school age children and reinforce safe pedestrian behaviour. To promote the health benefits of walking and help create regular walking habits at an early age. To help children develop the vital road-crossing skills they will need as they become mature pedestrians. At Glen Dhu, we will support this initiative by staff meeting children (and parents if they wish) at Coronation Park, THIS FRIDAY (September 11th) then walk to school as a group.

11.01.2022 From the School Climate Action Group - We want to save our Earth. The problem is plastic going into the ocean. By 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. We want you to help us reduce the amount of plastic in our lunchboxes. If we do have soft plastic, we want students to put it in the soft plastic bins. We need parents' help! We need you to pick up our soft plastic and take it to a supermarket to support Redcycle to recycle it. We just need one parent each week. Please contact [email protected] to sign up.

03.01.2022 22nd July 2020 Dear Parents/Carers,... Firstly Id like thank all parents/carers for ensuring all our students have started the new term looking very smart in their Glen Dhu uniform. It helps create a sense of community and team when we proudly wear our school uniform. Secondly, Id like to thank parents/carers for following the advice and not entering classrooms unless it is essential to do so. Similarly, I would like to thank the parents who continue to drop off and collect their children at the school gate. We did have a large numbers of parents/carers outside the Prep classrooms this afternoon, which makes it extremely difficult to maintain the required 1.5m physical distancing between adults. We only have to look at Victoria to see that the Covid crisis is not over yet, and it remains Public Health advice to physical distance for the safety of our whole community. Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter. Yours sincerely, Marcus Cramp Principal
